I don't see how the Justice League could defeat the strongest 3 or 4 versions of Godzilla, but if they use a mid-level version of Godzilla AND if the Justice League all temporarily give their powers to Superman... maybe they can win that way...
Four strongest versions of Godzilla in order:
1) Final Wars Godzilla: Canonically has "infinite" reality warp powers, albeit briefly.
2) Vs Mothra and Battra: Has Reality Warping powers which "Cannot be explained by Physics" and is only defeated by the combined Magics of Mothra and Battra, again temporarilty, since he breaks out of their magical seal at the beginning of the next movie.
3) Heizel Godzilla survives being shot by a "Singularity Cannon" and defeats Space Godzilla, who survived a Stellar Mass Black Hole.
4) "Vs Destroyah" Godzilla and "King of Monsters" Godzilla each survived direct hits from Oxygen Destroyer weapons. Oxygen-Oxygen Fusion burns at 100 Billion Kelvins. In contrast, "Donner-verse" Superman, which is much stronger than Justice League Superman, he was temporality made into a Mortal Man when Nuclear Man, having a tiny fraction of the Sun's Power, simply scratched him on the neck with his claws. Oxygen-Oxygen Fusion is nearly 10,000 times hotter than the Core of the Sun.
Last points:
Godzilla has survived Dimensional weapons and Time Warps in the past, and he also has "Regenerator G" which allows him to Fully Regenerate even from a single surviving Cell.
So for Superman and the Justice League to defeat Godzilla, I think we'll need some sort of "Powers combination" from them, or else some sort of Dimensional Busting Kryptonian weapon being used by Superman.
I won't be going to the theaters to see this movie when it comes out, but if it comes on television or the internet I'll watch it, or at least watch the best fight scenes from the movie.
Too bad something like this wasn't made when I was a kid. lol.
Anyway, in my opinion even Donnerverse Superman would have a hard time here.
1) Donnerverse Superman in the first movie turned back time for the entire Earth by flying faster than light in reverse-time order around the planet.
2) "Superman Returns" he lifts the Quasi-Kryptonite continent and throws it into outer space WHILE wounded by Lex Luthor's true Kryptonite Dagger being broken off in his kidney. This is probably Superman's all-time most powerful Durability Feat.
3) see below. out of spac
In one episode he survives a point-blank detonation of a Hydrogen Bomb, but is contaminated by the Fissile primer material. In order to "purge" himself of the contamination he flies and stands inside the surface of the Sun so that the Sun's energy disintegrates the radioactive particles. In this version and Comic Book versions, Superman can survive inside the Sun and only grows stronger by doing so.

This sounds like an old transformers situation where the humans are overpowered for no reason.
Godzilla now has humans who are born with either Regenerator G or Keizer Reality warp powers. They are trained to fight... Godzilla, and they usually lose even though they are using Godzilla's own powers against him.
For Justice League to beat any of the middle ot upper tier versions of Godzilla, they'd need some kind of stretch of the imagination because Justice League Superman is actually one of the weakest versions of Superman published so far.
Like I said, maybe the rest of the Justice League temporarily give their super-powers to Superman, then he'd have the Flash's comic book Petrification ability and the Magic of Wonder Woman combined with his own powers, maybe then he'd stand a chance. I don't know. I'm sure they'll concoct some explanation of how to stop him.
Oh yeah, even Comic Book Flash's Petrification ability might not reasonably work against the strongest versions of Godzilla, because the Gotengo ship in "Final Wars" has a Petrification Beam which kills a Kaiju monster in one hit, but does not even hurt Godzilla. In fact, they hit Godzilla with a full-power blast of the thing combined with Keizer power, and the only thing it does is give Godzilla even more power.
This crossover sounds like the idea of an obtuse troglodyte just like Transformers x GI Joe.
I'm being a bit silly here, but I am dead serious about this being the truth. There is an MSN article. the rights have already been settled and a script is already being written.
Do a Youtube Search of Godzilla Final Wars final battle and try not to laugh your ass off.
When the telepath guy transfers his powers and Gotengos' petrification beam power to Godzilla, the computer HUD literally displays an "Infinity" symbol for Godzilla's new power level. Then Godzilla turns Keizer Ghidorah's Gravity Warp Beams against himself, blowing one head off. Then he bites and rips the other head off, then he toys with the third head for a few minutes before hammer throwing him into orbit and disintegrating him with his (Keizer enhanced) Spiral Ray.
this is supposed to be the same Godzilla as the original Godzilla , and they retconned it so the Oxygen Destroyer failed to kill him.
Like "Vs Destroyah" Godzilla version, the adult one, could probably kill Donnerverse Superman in a fair debate, because that version of Superman was nearly killed by... Nuclear Man, even though he is supposed to be the strongest version of Superman in fiction. Vs Destroyah Godzilla survives a focused beam of Oxygen Destroyer energy (100 billiion kelvins) and his meltdown from consuming too much radioactivity only makes his radioactive weaposn even more powerful, so that he kills... the.. oxygen... destroying... kaiju. lol.
That's probably considered a mid-level version of Godzilla in terms of the different versions these new writers could choose to use for the Justice League crossover.
As vexing as it is to see fools do their fool things, it also serves as a reminder of how many numbers my Conga series will be racking. In terms of comics, I am going to make America great again. The Japanese think they got it all but here I am. It’s like comparing Pablo to Wheeljack.
You have me laughing almost as much as I laughed when I first saw the article announcing this new film. While it might have been "cool" if done 30 years ago when I was a pre-teen, it's probably not going to end up being very entertaining except for comedic value, which is kind of dumb really, since Godzilla was originally introduced as the Ultimate Embodiment of Nuclear Horror movies.
Where have we fallen that this "Act of God" horror creature has been reduced to being comedic anti-hero instead of a horrific monster it was intended to be?
They have no sauce.
