What is something you loved as a kid/teenager, but you find its totally cringey now?

For me, it would have to be SpongeBob Squarepants. I was OBSESSED to the point it was like a drug. Looking back, yeah, it was cringe-worthy., but It's still one of the greatest animated shows of all time.

As someone who still watches (old) SpongeBob, it’s comedic gold. I love how we all were children hating squidward to eventually becoming squidward.

I think for me, the biggest cringe was the lingo I used. I was one of those “^_^ can I haz cookie?” Kids. Oh my god, cringe. Seems to be making a comeback too. I also wanted swoop scene kid hair. Totally cringe to me now. The whole era of LMFAO Party Rock Anthem was a nightmare to look back on in general, and that I once wasted $85 on an IMVU avatar. If my children ever try to grow up like that, I will beat them.

Oh my goodness, there is no shame in liking Spongebob. If I have SpongeBobs’ attitude towards my adult life…I will never have a bad day. He wakes up singing “I’m ready!”, loves to work, never allows his neighbor/coworker negativity to get him down. SpongeBob is a hero in my eyes:

But with all of the being said I would say my taste in music when I was younger makes me cringe.

Nothing, my taste in entertainment is the same now as it was then. I still play the same genres of video games, I still watch cartoons/anime, I still laugh at the same kinds of humor, and I'm still interested in the same subjects.

Modern SpongeBob has its moments I guess but it is mostly "I wish I had that time back"
