In the context of for example someone who writes just for fun wanting to produce illustrations representing their work without paying a professional, or for an artist to make minor changes to update their past work, I think it's great.
In the context of replacing professionals within media industry, I think that's a very serious threat mainly because it'll kill the interest or value of all but the most talented and committed artists, and by extension kill creativity for most people, but it's going to happen sooner or later.
The part that is completely unacceptable however is using it to generate pornographic or otherwise fake material while using someone's likeness. There is already a critical problem with fraudulent allegations, little to no faith in justice systems, and rampant proliferation of increasingly deviant and extreme pornography in order to satisfy increasingly ravenous consumers, and AI will make all of these issues even worse.

AI art is theft, it steals art that artists made and uses it to generate mostly shitty versions of those images.
AI "art" should be banned in my opinion. Not only for that reason, but also because if it ever does start making quality art to the point of "you can ask it to make whatever and it does it perfectly", no one will want to take the time to learn to draw, paint, or animate, and I think that would be an incredibly horrible thing for humanity to lose.
We should always have and support artists.

Old traditional art from 1800 and backwards would be competition for AI art. Can't name any paintings by name but Im thinking of like these huge paintings of Napoleon on his Horse or like George Washington crossing the Delaware or just like paintings of Vast Cayons in Western U. S. just stunning, huge, lots of details and color.
Modern art is simply disgusting. I saw an art exhibition like maybe 2-3 years ago and it was a bunch of shopping carts stacked up ontop of each other with like this grey mass binding them together, truly disgusting and not nice to look at. Ok maybe it had a deep message of consumerism but it still makes it awful to look at and probably doesn't get your point across as would say a vivid painting on the same topic. And maybe you have a couple of paintings here and there that can be nice but a load of them cannot compare to what AI art generates
AI can't create art. It can just mix together different pieces of art actual people already made. I dont care for it, I like real art with intention, effort, and meaning behind it.
Eh, A. I always has that glossy perfect look.. It all looks similar.. You can easily tell A. I from art made by a creator.. I prefer traditional art.. But some A. I generation does look pretty good..
AI is not art. It’s interesting but it’s not art. Art is personal interpretation, it has meaning, the artist has memory and context and pain and/or desire to express. AI is like rolling the dice to see what you get. Generic and meaningless.
No matter how perfect AI digital art appears, it is flawed.
Call me a luddite, but I much prefer Traditional Art. For example, you can't beat Leonardo da Vinci, or Salvador Dali.
How about you?
it depends on the goal/goals... I am not against either, or the combination of both...
Traditional Art, yes. Digital Art, yes. AI digital ‘art’ is not Art.
Tradition art always. Its the human effort that makes the beauty, not the creation of something artificial.
I think it's interesting and I like it
Traditional art
I reject AI in art.
