Have you ever found yourself in someone else’s story highlights?

I just checked my Influencer Friends’ Instagram cause she sent me her story highlight and God! I am in all of her stories.

From my party days, one year ago. Sometimes I am dancing on the bar, there’s even one moment, I was dancing so hard, I slipped and fell over. Thanks God, there were people I fell on top on, sometimes I am pouring champagne on myself, sometimes bartender is pouring it onto me while I am dancing, sometimes I am just scrolling phone, but I am in much more of her stories than I have my own.

Now I feel awkward those moments are kept on her story and like 70k + people can see it. 🤣

I didn’t even share them on my own social media, why should people see how I partied.

I am literally her story highlight.

It used to be a constant source of embarrassment for me because my friends would always share my wild stories and photos they took. So my social media was plastered with people tagging me like this from my early 20s:

Passing out on the train.

Passing out mid-Karaoke.

Getting thrown out of a bar.

Passing out in the wilderness after trying a drunk front flip and knocking myself out.

You get the idea. That's like 90% of what my friends shared about me including the stories they told and photos they shared. I learned to stop being embarrassed about it though and just learn to laugh at myself.

I improved substantially by mid-20s and especially after marrying my wife. But I was the craziest and drunkest one always in my social circle and that tended to be all the stories they shared about me. I wanted to be like, "Hey, how about mentioning that time I was totally sober when we went camping?" 😅 Friends: "Nah, we prefer telling stories about how drunk you got."

@Dongie Those were some fun times! Lots of stupidity on my part but definitely makes for some stories to tell. I was especially bad out of relationships since I'd become obsessed with pretty girls when drunk.

Me: Let'sh shchange bars and tchalk to shome pretty girlsh [hic]! There are only guysh here!
Friends: Dude, you can barely stand. Are you sure you shouldn't go home and lie down?
Me: My grshhh.. love of women will give me shtrength and... and hold me up!

I feel like this is an older post. But I'll answer anyways, why not...

When I was shooting competitively, guys would video their runs and most of us would get put on YouTube as a result. Other than that I can't think of anything.

Sounds like fun photos tho. Maybe some day I'll get to see them. If they are safe anyways.
