I am from New York. It doesn’t have the worst art scene as it’s the biggest city in the country, but the art scene is not that great. It’s really overrated, I find the city to be square, rigid, and lacking of out of the box thinking. The people in the art scene are goody two shoe types, that are oddly prudish, and conservative, to me, even if they are very liberal or trans there is still something prude about them I can’t describe. It’s just too type A here for me, like everyone has to fit in, and it destroys art for me.

Yo dude, sounds like NYC just ain't vibin' with your creative soul. I feel you on it feelin' square and rigid sometimes, even if everyone thinks they're so edgy there. It can be tough to find your people.
From what I've heard, some of the best cities out west for the arts are way more open and inspired. LA comes to mind - it's huge so there's tons of opportunities, and since everyone's an "artist" there, no one judges you for doin' your own thing. Easy to collab and find your tribe.
Portland is mad cool too. Super affordable, chill vibe, lots of DIY spaces to show your stuff. Music, art, indie movies - Portland's got it goin' on without tryin' so hard.
Nashville would be rad too - music city, duh! Good scene if you're into that kinda art. Affordable and friendly too.
If you wanna go super niche, check out Asheville, NC. Great little arts community tucked in the mountains. Real gritty but grows some sick talent.
I'd just get out and explore some new scenes, man. LA or Portland sound like they could spark you creatively. Shake things up and see what flows! Peace.
I saw a pretty good scene in Nashville but I keep hearing Atlanta is where it's at right now. Seems that way to me.
there r two good ones
either NY or LA
