They had a good buildup for thanos and thats what saved it. The problem is, that they tried to partly copy the comics and partly do their own thing but with different characters etc or diffent motivations. It can work but it rarely did, but at that point the action and build uprealease was alrewdy done so it didn't ruin the movie.
The new movies partly try to copy the biggest comic thing in existence on the marvel site and I call it out they will ruin it because the buildup was stupid and they use the wrong characers therefore wrong motivations, therefore it won't make as much sense as it should be.

Yes, they were always there. What disney needs to do now is make a hard pivot.
I would honestly say they need to lose the live action stuff, go more for experimental animation. Sony’s been doing that with Spiderman and it honestly looks amazing. It would be a good opportunity for disney to finally break out of their mold and do something to really capitalize on the creativity of their people. Animation works much better for superhero stuff anyway
Thanos was such a good villian and his goals had such high stakes. I thought the "what if" series could have topped it if they had taken it a little more seriously, but apart from that the stakes in all of their movies have necissarily been lower or just a repeat. The mulitverse is the only way to scale up and all of their multiverse attempts have been clunky, except the "what if" series seemed to have smoothed it out - it was just too short.
Public interest in the MCU basically peaked at Infinity War/Endgame, and has been on a noticeable decline ever since, to the point that those movies are not even profitable anymore. In my opinion however, the conclusion of Captain America's trilogy is about when the quality of the MCU starts to broadly decline, and it's likely due to the change of people with control over the projects having more influence.

The only MCU stuff I really didn't like was miss marvel and she hulk. The rest were either good, or they at least gave context/backstory for the ones that were good. I do wish the x-men and tom hardy's venom were in the MCU main timeline though (yes I know about the credits scene).
the only way to save it: bring Daredevil into the Spiderman universe
