All are cringe, One Piece as a whole is a cringe factory and most Dragon Ball fans don’t even read the manga or watch the shows yet act like they know everything, just making shit up. Well that’s how the entire series was made so I guess there’s some congruency there. A little bit of effort was put in here and there, and then the bullshit happens. “I am Son Gohan, and thanks to some random dude looking at my wife Videl in a somewhat strange way that might not have even meant anything, I have finally achieved my new Super Ultra Saiyan infinity Kaioken x9,000+ Beast-Ego Blanco form, which just makes my hair dark gray and 1,000,000 times longer”. I don’t mean to undermine the impact it’s had on countless people but looking at it objectively, the creativity and general competence isn’t completely there. I mean have you seen Frieza’s latest “transformation” that’s supposed to be far more powerful than Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego combined? It’s literally just his base form but his arms and legs are black. At least his Golden form changed 90% of his colors.

There’s also the fact that nothing any character does in DB is impressive. People have been blowing up moons and galaxies since the franchise’s beginning like swatting flies. Everyone can fly,, shoot world-ending lasers, and move at the speed of light with no effort.

oh yeah... that's what I hear about One Piece, a lot of episodes are "fillers"

but what I also hear from the fans is that it does make the show special and different and top, because of it... you do really get involved in the many stories in that Universe and not just Luffy
