Why is hip hop/rap so misogynistic?

I just genuinely want to know what made hip hop or rap so misogynistic to the point that even other female rappers are talking down other women and belittling them. How did it get that way?

Around the same time hip hop and R&B became a staple of capitalistic success. Corporate greed undoubtedly influenced these artists who, despite wearing jewelry worth $1000 and filming videos at houses worth millions, are broke. The idea is to emulate success because it can attract a wider audience. And, inevitably, as is what always happens when you appeal to the dominant power structure of the patriarchy, symbols of success include the objectification of women as a sign of that same success. But I wouldn’t write off the entire genre just because of some bad influences. There’s a lot of great pieces of rap (short for rhythm and poetry) that really highlight the human condition unique to POC and black communities in the United States. It’s one of the few genres we can say is distinctly American.

Hip Hop or Rap has always attracted the lowest of the low. Even the people who listen to it tend to be lowlifes, with very few exceptions.

And racist. No idea, I've never heard anyone that didn't talk about raping someone, doing drugs, doing drive by's, heavily using the n word, or glorifying going to prison. These people are not role models.
