What movie scared you as a young kid?

For me, it was Jumanji. The drums scared the living crap out of me especially when watching it in the movie theater. I was like 3 years old. Covered my eyes throughout most of the movie lol

I don't mean to laugh, but that's funny as hell😂

The only thing I can remember, is my dad was channel flipping and this movie came on with severed hands walking around. And another one my mom tuned into that showed a SINGING PIZZA, with a FACE!😱

Aside from that I used to watch this show on Disney called "So Weird", which was basically X Files for kids. There was a Vampire episode. I rewatched it as an adult and it seemed so cheesy, but as a kid it was my favorite episode, even though it absolutely scared the shit out of me. I was literally frozen in my room and my mom almost banned me from watching the show anymore because of that episode.

It was a movie with a witch. It wasn't famous. A bunch of kids and an adult got pulled into this other world through an elevator. And it was kinda like a dessert and there was this big clock. And this witch stopped the clock to stop time itself in that world because she wanted to be immortal. And then the kids and the adult wanted to go restart the clock. But the witch somehow abducted the last person in the group and shapeshifted into that person. And then my mom wanted to go home so I didn't see the rest and it gave me nightmares for like 2 weeks.

I totally understand how certain sounds and visuals can be terrifying as a kid! For me, it was "The Witches" (1990). The transformation scene, with Anjelica Huston's character turning into a witch, was both creepy and fascinating. It left quite an impression on my young mind. 🎥😱
