Me? Iron Maiden.
I was gonna put Wu Tang, Elvis, Green Day, BTS and others in poll but đ€·đ»ââïž
Who floats your boat living, touring or dead?

Hit me right in the heart with the Wu-Tang slight😭 Enter The 36 Chambers just changed the way I looked at hip hop when I was a teenager. Very fresh take on what we had seen up to that point. RZA is a brilliant producer. Ghostface, Raekwon, Method Man, and Inspecktah Deck are all excellent MCs, in my opinion. Olâ Dirty Bastards whole existence was absolutely absurd, lmao, but there was no one like him, and I canât imagine anyone ever will be. Maybe Kodak Black is close on the âcrazyâ meter these days, but ODB takes the cake. His son is touring with them now. Wait for itâŠ. YOUNG Dirty Bastard😂 Saw them like five years ago and he was riding a bodyguardâs shoulders through the crowd while performingâŠ
Anyway, Wu-Tang asideâŠ
I think my biggest one is The Beatles. I donât get it. I tried, but Iâm just not seeing whatâs so good about them. Honestly, I like their early stuff the best, the bowl-cut, suit-and-tie, Ed Sullivan Show Beatles. Hard Dayâs Night, that kind of thing.
I just donât get the hype for the later drugged-out Beatles. All the Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, or the one with the line about 🎶He blew his mind out in a carrrrrrâŠ🎶, or the Rocky Raccoon song. âYellow SubmarineââŠ.. are you guys kidding around with this one, orrrrrâŠ? Donât do hallucinogenics, kids. Or at least donât make music after taking them, lmao.
I feel weird not liking them. I used to drive for HOURS at a time in my old sales job, and I made a couple efforts to go through the catalogueâŠ.. just didnât grab me. Itâs not for lack of trying, I think I just simply donât enjoy The Beatles.
Iâd hate to have to hear The Shitty Beatles😝âŠ.
The KISS Army used to be very strong in 70s and 80s.
Not me but I did see them in 03 and they blew Aerosmith away. No small feat. Aerosmith has the distinction of having performed for me the greatest performance, in 1988 February in Shreveport while on their HUGE comeback tour, 'Permanent Vacation', and the afore mentioned worst. I labeled it, "Dude sings to the ladys."
But a band I could hit the road with would have to be either the mid 70s but even the newly drug free version of AEROSMITH of the late 80s.
Another would be Sammy Hagar of the late 70s as he became a superstar as the 80s came in. I saw him on his last 3 album tours in 82, 83, & 84. He was mad!
Then I HAVE to include the German superband the Scorpions from 79 through 89.
Can't forget young version of Ozzy throughout the 80s.
Iron Maiden would be close for me as well. They were mad.
Dokken
70s Van Halen
Don't know if I mentioned KISS from 75 through the rest of the century.👄
The most and all alone in first place is
People can like what they like and do as they please. I honestly donât think there are any bands I would travel around the country/world for just to experience their concerts. I donât know that anyone is âoverhypedâ or whatever, itâs all relative. Like, listening to Chappell Roan for the first time, I only really liked a couple of her songs and now sheâs a pop sensation and everyone loves her stuff. Sheâs now got the record for one of the hugest crowds at a concert I think? Something that happened in 2024, and she wasnât even the headliner, she was the opener. It looked like fun!
Kiss. I did like them when I was very young and Kiss was my very first big concert, but I don't get them now. How they became so big is a mystery. Others would be Bruce Springsteen, U2, Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, The Rolling Stones, Lou Reed, Aerosmith, Dire Straits, Nirvana to name just a few. All incredibly overrated.
While I appreciate the talent of many bands, Phish is one with a cult following that I never quite connected with. Their improvisational style has massive appeal to many, but it doesn't resonate with me. On the flip side, I'd love to hit the road with The Beatles if they were still together; their music has left a lasting impact worldwide and would have been an epic experience to witness firsthand! 🎶

For me on that list it's the Kiss army. Never understood their appeal.
While I might not get the hype about particular bands, I do get the hype of being a fan - having been there myself, lol.
So I can't really judge others on it. I'm happy for the artists to have found a base hah
If I had the money, I'd go see Dermot Kennedy anywhere. His concerts are something else in my opinion
I met some Dutch guys in 2023, where i worked. They were here building a huge greenhouse for growing all types of lettuce. I hear the owners are expecting Marijuana to become legal here in Texas, and they will have the facilities to profit from it. The head guy was very nice and spoke English with a lovely accent. I ran into him later at a local supermarket, and we chatted again.
there's a whole LOT of bands and artists, music out there that I don't like myself and I just don't have interest for it
but it is not that "I don't get it" because I totally get it lol... these people just have different preferences and likes to mine... which is absolutely fine, to each their own...
Nickelback fans though...
I used to love Dave Matthews when I was much younger. Saw him in concert a few years ago.
But his music feels like itâs stuck in a Zeitgeist of the 90s. Not a bad thing if I am in the mood for it. But his music really hasnât aged well imho.
Also getting older I know have better understanding of his lyrics and despite the upbeat/positive vibe the beat his music gives and lyrical meaning is very disjointed once you understand what heâs singing about.
If I could afford the time and money, it would be interesting to follow Andre Rieu around the world as he and his orchestra perform around 90 concerts in many different countries in a typical year..
I saw Jimmy Buffett perform before Margueritaville came out. He was mostly a folk act. I thought he was really good. 20 years later I saw him during the whole parrothead thing. He was good but the fans were assholes
I never cared for the music, and it sounds rather bland to me.
feeble attempts there's no excitement in music
Each of those named and a slew of others.
There are none I'd give it all up to follow.
Out of that list maybe Dave Matthews. I like Def Leppard and Rush
Phish, Grateful Dead. OK in both cases but VASTLY OVERRATED !!!
Should Dave Matthews dudes and dolls be termed "DMers?"
Easily Taylor Swift.
