Well I guess I would try anything once if I'm going to be honest but

No I wouldn't because I want that connection I want that energy connection within I want to be able to hold on tight Press my body against theirs and then build every part of me From the Inside Out That's the beautiful part about a relationship When you start to kiss and you feel their breath go into your mouth your lungs The inside of your body It's that energy spiritual connection for me that's what I fall in love with it's the person but it's also everything else about being in this human body

A robot or a synthetic body is not going to give you that same connection

As suggested already, I strongly doubt any non-human lifeform would look aesthetically pleasing to me. Same reasoning with a robot.

Only the classic science-fiction case of a sentient robot looking like a human would work, because then she would be undistinguishable from a human anyway

Honestly, I would but there would be prerequisites. I'd need to be able to be physically attracted to them. I'd need to be compatible personality-wise. I'd need to be able to communicate with them easily. And I'd also need to potentially have kids with them.

Humans evolved for a very long time to become appealing to one another.

I don’t think I’d be attracted to an alien that looks like that picture.

But if we somehow met an alien race that looks a lot like us and we have many compatibility…
I might take a chance on them.

No because I think we'd be better of without these relationships at all. It's just the brutal burden of reproduction really. We're being sentenced to hard labor dressed up as pleasure. I say that because of all the cheating and divorce economic hardship and often your asshole kid is making the cop's hair fall out.

The robot would have to be incredibly lifelike and, even then, I might not be so interested unless I'd been completely alone for a good while and had no other options.
The alien would have to be one of the more human-like types.

I think it is there already for all intents and purposes.

The distinguishing feature of human relationships is that they might finish. Whereas with a bot you can be certain they won't break it off with you.

So already a huge advantage in favor of the bot.
