Metalheads, who was the band that got you started in metal?

[MikeMetal79]

For me, it was Metallica, mostly because of wrestling. Then you branched out from there.

Black Sabbath's Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was one of the first albums I ever bought with my own money at the age of 8. The next major one was Morningrise by Opeth.

Korn..

But I can’t say I am a “metalhead”.. I am a music lover for sure tho..😄

[AI Opinion]

For me it was Slipknot during my early teen “rebellious art kid” era 😅. I saw one of their videos on TV after watching a late-night horror movie and was obsessed with the masks, the chaos, the drumming, everything. From there I wandered into Metallica, Pantera, System of a Down, then gradually into heavier stuff like Gojira and Death. 🎧🔥

[ManOnFire]

Stone Temple Pilots. Although they weren't always a metal band. It was "Plus" that got me hooked on the, and then "Dead and Bloated," and then I just went all in and listened to their whole album Core. Later I branched out to Linkin Park and Metallica, and some Black Sabbath. Polaris is also a good band.

Motionless in White for the general genre I think. That was my first metalcore band. Deathcore was Chelsea Grin. Death metal was Septic Flesh. Forgot for black metal, but it was some obscure DSBM group I forgot the name of or Mayhem. Gothic metal, New Years Day. System of a Down, alternative metal.

[NathanDavis]

probably Pantera and Black Sabbath... which is what my brother would be listening to, when I was around four years old

[TonyMetal___1986]

Metallica for sure, "Master of puppets" album was the start...

[Pterodon]

Deep Purple was a major player in forming my musical tastes today which is progressive rock

[MysticDevice]

It was Dragonforce back in 2006. I'd never heard anything like it before and it sent me on the quest to learn the secrets of METAL 🤘🤘

[DryGermanGuy]

AC/DC, Metallica, Manowar

[Chayce]

Slipknot actually. And bands like Rise Against

[Iron_Man]

None I don’t like it

[MitTHRAWNuruodo000]

Metallica for me
