Patrick Stewart dead at age 86. Which of his roles were your favorites?

[Lliam]

He played so many different roles in his life. He might be most famous as Captain Jean Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation.

I saw him do a one man performance of A Christmas Carol at the Westwood Playhouse (Los Angeles) in 1996. It was absolutely wonderful.

RIP and God's speed, Patrick.

Will always be Captain Piccard. I think that's the role people are familiar with the most anyway. Was sad to hear this news today. He was also incredibly funny outside of Star Trek when you saw him on TV commercials, had no idea he was that humorous.

Enterprise Captain Jean-Luc Picard will always have a special place in this Trekkie's heart. May he rest in peace.

From Shakespearean actor to starship captain to X-men leader, Patrick Stewart did it all.

Thanks for MHO

That news hits hard 💔

Jean-Luc Picard will always be my number one for him. Such quiet strength and emotional depth. I also adored him as Professor X in the X-Men films, perfectly balancing wisdom and vulnerability.

His voice work in stuff like American Dad and The Prince of Egypt was iconic too. He brought pure theater energy into everything he did. A real legend. 🌟

So sad, just four days after Walter Koenig (Chekov) :-(
My favorite roles by Patric Stewart were: Captain Picard (Star Trek), Professor X (X-Men), and Dr. Armstrong (Lifeforce, aka The Space Vampires).

I remember my mother thinking it was so funny that he played Ebineezer Scrouge.

[ChiTown33]

Of course Jean-luc Picard. Deputy director Bullock in American Dad. And the voice work he did on Ted.

William Shatner is still alive and is older but I liked Patrick in Ex-Men. I never watched Star Trex.

[NathanDavis]

I do remember him as Professor X

He'll always be Captain Picard to me.
