Plato once famously brought this controversial topic up when writing his paper, the Republic. As a nihilist against religion and secularism, I agree that in modern times, the family unit should be abolished for several reasons.
1. No Drama
If secularism supports the separation between state and religion, then I believe that relations between a progenitor and its offspring should be abolished. There will be no divorce, no separation, and no infidelity that would severely affect a child's health because simply there were no relations to begin with. Studies have shown that children still suffer side effects even to adulthood when faced with traumatic events such as these.
2. No Abuse
Parents are often abusive towards their own children, whether it is physical, emotional, or mental abuse. Some parents are even narcissistic enough that they only care about themselves rather than stepping up to raise the child. You want to know why Hitler became a dictator? Because he had an abusive illegitimate father. Same thing with Stalin. By dissolving the family unit, millions of children will never have to suffer any injuries from the hands of an abuser or a person who doesn't care about them.
3. No Hypocrisy
If you're a parent, THEN YOU BETTER LISTEN. Every time, I hear a parent talk about the importance of family values in public, I always roll my eyes. Then, somebody leaks out information that reveals their true self into the eyes of the world. Remember Josh Duggar? Remember Sam Ryder? Remember that former Alabama governor caught cheating on his wife? Remember Shay Carl? Parents will always lie to their kids and blame the children for no logical explanation. Remember people nowadays are hypocrites is because they were raised by one.
4. Disciplined Children
When I see children of today, I am always baffled by the immaturity and the annoying antics that these children make. They always want something by begging their parents for money, but they don't know that millions of other children are suffering and work their asses off for money. By no discipline by idiotic parents, these children grow up to be hoes, gold diggers, fuckboys, and assholes. If society conscripted children into indoctrination into reeducation camps, we will see an end those despised people.
5. No More Cuckolded Men
Family law is a joke in today's society. While women are able to fuck another guy and get away with it without any financial consequences, the faithful husbands of these wives get burnt and have to pay child support for children that are not even his. Society itself has begun to tell men that "blood doesn't matter" and that they are selfish for not caring about the children and they have to suck it up. First of all, MEN ONLY REPRODUCE TO PASS ON HIS OWN GENES AND THAT IS HIS OWN BIOLOGICAL IMPERATIVE CODED IN HIS DNA. With the family unit dissolved, we will finally see an end to the sexist family law courts because family is nothing. Men will be able to save themselves financially and this would benefit society as a whole.
5. We will Evolve Into a Species Far Superior Than Homo Sapiens
With increased rates of autism growing and the narcissistic culture that we have today, humans in hundreds of millions of years are going to evolve into antiamorous animals who will reproduce when necessary. Animals are already antiamorous such as some felines, moose, and Tasmanian devils as they only reproduce for the sake of fulfilling their biological imperative. We will finally put an end to all those stupid polygamy vs. monogamy arguments.
Nihilism has the idea of the Ubermensch, which literally translates to Superman, by Friedrich Nietzsche. The Ubermench basically creates its own values that replaces much of society's values and standards and is a goal for humanity to set for itself as a superior being. If the family unit were to be dissolved for many generations, we as a species will reach a new standard. Children will eventually evolve to become independent at birth without any assistance from parents.
