I used to think the friend zone was the worst thing that could happen with someone I liked. But the more I thought about the pros versus the cons of being in the friend zone, it is actually not too bad. It is a learning opportunity.Here is why:
1) You are free to be comfortable and yourself because you know that your guy friend is not trying to date or sleep with. The atmosphere can be a lot more relaxed and you don't have to censor yourself.
2) You can get free relationship advice and a straight male opinions on things. Since the guy sees you as just a friend, maybe even a sister, he should be inclined to want to help you succeed.
3) You can also practice flirting skills with a straight male to get honest feedback. Your guy friend does not see you as anything more than a friend so he won't misread your intentions.
4) Lastly, with all the above things, and more not mentioned, your relationship with your guy friend can become deeper and may even transition into a best friend relationship if it is not already.
Thus being in the friend zone is not so bad. You have the opportunity to learn a lot about guys from a trustworthy and inside source that you can apply to your own life.
