All of them sound like excuses to me TBH except the travel part, but ok.
Number 10 is reality, not an excuse.
It is the most lame excuse and here is why.
Whether or not the world is a good place it doesn't matter for many reasons. #1 being the fact that there is ZERO guarantee that YOU will be at a good state or unfortunate things won't happen to you even if you live in a diamond age of ultimate peace and prosperity. You might just die in your sleep leaving your child, again, no one knows when they are gonna die. Nowhere in history was anyone guaranteed a good life for themselves and their children. You could live in a wealthy and stable condition, but you may lose the luxury at any time.
Bullying, illness, depression, bad times, everyone faces them and it is completely normal. If you wanna spoil your child by not letting them explore the world, try out new things, gather knowledge and experience because of things like they might get hurt or fall ill or face the reality of the world, feel free to do it if you don't care that they will end up getting nowhere afterwards.
So you are basically ok with whatever the outcome, reality, or fate of a person might be once they had been brought into existence? Even if it's bad, horrible and tragic outcomes? Because you can't absolutely be certain that everything will just be fine throughout the entire course of somebody's lifetime. But if you insist and believe rewards are important to you and and believe it exceeds any and all risks involved, then so be it.
@JudgmentDay life consists of good and bad. Bad experiences in life is inevitable. We live on Earth not heaven. And that's why you raise your kid in a way that they can be strong, confident and fearless against the cruel world of bitter truth and dark reality. It is by overcoming by bad situations in life that you get closer to having a beautiful life full of contentment.
That's only if you have one already or have the DESIRE for one. Not everybody feels the same way about everything or sees everything in the same way. I also question it on whether somebody, anybody, or the hypothetical children of those that don't have them/don't want them on whether it is ever necessary at all to create someone new and bring them into existence, involving them into this world. Did they need to be born or created? Did they ever need to exist or is it merely because only one just WANTS them to exist? I've questioned whether it's a necessity at all. And from my own perspective, my belief and conclusion is that it is not a necessity, and it isn't necessary at all and so to me and others that feel and believe the same way about this, it isn't justified at all to create another new person and add them into this world.
@JudgmentDay I think it is necessary that WE work on making this world a better place, so that it wouldn't be as much of a bad place anymore for the future generation. ✨
Having children is not for everyone and it is NOT the one and only way to make the world a better place.

I don't even date or pursue anybody either if you aren't aware. I know that all of it, regardless if it's relationships, dating, children, etc. won't make me "happy", "content", "whole" or "fulfilled". It's still all empty and futile one way or another to me. If you don't have existential despair or existential nihilism then you simply can't relate and would not understand. Because you can not feel what I feel, nor see things how I see them.
If you don't want to have kids then that's fine, you don't have to and no one will force you to. But don't make excuses.
You only perceive them as excuses.

Only to you. I believe that it is not fair and feel that it is wrong to bring another person into this world so they would have to go through agony, suffering, and all the various miserable things throughout the entire course of their lifetime and then inevitably die some day.
If I choose to bring someone new here, I am ENABLING all of that. I'd only be making it completely possible for all of those things to happen. Thus I would be fully accountable for all of it, accountable for all of their miseries and unhappiness, etc. they would experience, and INCLUDING making it possible for them to have to die some day. Especially once they recognize this and become unhappy with all of it.
So therefore I won't ever do it. The lack of consent or lack of possibility of consent of bringing someone new here is why it's unfair and why I feel life is an imposition upon someone new.
Why do you think it's excuses? Do you think EVERYBODY has to have kids?
@JudgmentDay so basically you don't want to have a child because he or she will go through every normal thing and have a normal life. You really need to get it through your head that life consists of good and bad. Not having kids because you don't want one is a terrible thing to say. What you really should be doing is to raise them in a way that they will be strong against every harsh thing in life. Even at infancy babies fall down and hurt themselves several times before they learn to walk, so what?
And what is it with consent? You know the same thing could be applied for suicide as well right? My soul is living in my body without my consent, lemme get rid of it!
To answer your last question, I don't know why every human capable of having kids shouldn't be having them.
Because it is NOT for everyone. You either agree with it and want them or you don't agree with it and don't want any at all. I'm unwilling to risk and face the possibility that I would have to bury my own child (ren) if I choose to create them and bring them into this world because I know that I have very little to no control at all over whatever CAN happen and whatever WILL happen. I don't even date either so it simply is at an end. Decided remaining single and indefinitely celibate is how I rather live for the rest of my life.
You forgot about the monks and nuns, they don't have or want kids either and some are probably capable of having kids. Do you not realize or recognize that? Are they sufficient evidence to you already that having children is not for everyone?
@JudgmentDay umm who told you that you can't control your children's lives. Of course you can, but go to a child and ask them if they liked it when they were controlled or when they had some freedom.
Regarding monks and nuns, then I don't believe that one has to go into forever celibacy or something to serve God.
If you don't want kids, fine then don't. Ain't nobody forcing you. But if these are the reasons for which you don't want kids then that was lame and I can point out what makes that kind of thought a flawed one.

Then just don't have kids. I don't know why people constantly need to voice their reasons or excuses for not wanting children. The only people that need to know that are the people you date.

I couldn't control people's actions in the past, so if they decided to have children, it's their choice and now I'm here. But I'm not into gambling with other people's lives. People who wants to become parents believes they're strong enough dealing with difficulties related to having children, but I don't believe I'm capable to do so. There's the difference.
Then just live ur life and enjoy it... Its ur choice. U dont have to feel guilty about it

You're proof that not having any kids does not automatically make a person miserable about it and filled with and all those other stereotyoes and myths or other bullshit. I mean if someone really never wanted any kids, they really should not have them, as they would only make themselves and their unwanted kid (s) miserable and happy by doing so.

I wouldn't change how I feel about it especially not because of number 10, because that is just how things are in reality, there are plenty of bad things and thing that can go horribly wrong unexpectedly, and that does not change either so I wouldn't change how I feel about all of it.

Take the good with the bad. I'm still on the fence about it. I know I'd be an epic dad, but this generation ok kids is Leagues different than what I was as a kid. No more riding a bike and breaking your arm, now its minecraft and fortnite parties.

Not EVERY child likes gaming, and wouldn't you rather want a child who's safe inside playing games then riding a bike outside, lots of children get hit by cars while riding a bike or get shot.

Kids that don't go outside end up socially awkwards and often have anxiety. Ladies don't like those traits, so if its a boy, he's gonna be an incel 10/10.

Not every child that doesn't go outside end up socially awkward and having anxiety and this is coming from my doctor, you know the one who went to college for children not someone on a website who's only 20 years old doesn't have any experience just going based off what they think. What the heck does going outside have to do with anxiety? It does not. If you didn't know a kid playing video games instead of going outside has NOTHING to do with how they respect their parents, its if the parents didn't discipline there child enough for their child to respect them. Just like in 1998 there are kids who disrespected there parents then and now.

I don't want kids just because they're rotten, annoying little fuckers. And as soon as your wife divorce rapes you, you'll hardly ever see them. But you'll certainly be paying for everything. Not worth it.

I would actually feel indifferent about it. If they choose to either not have sex or use contraception, it's their decision. I wouldn't exist and therefor couldn't complain.

Not guaranteed to happen to everyone. And chances are, the "right" woman for @curiousnorway would only be a woman that also does not ever want kids in order for their relationship or marriage to work at all, if at all. If one partner absolutely wants kids and the other absolutely don't, then it simply won't work and they'd only make each other miserable that their relationship would end sooner or later anyway.

It's more like denying and postponing the inevitable outcome of a futile empty void of reality and existence. Nothing will last forever one way or another. Nothing is permanent. But that's from my own perspective and how I feel about it.

Well number 10 is a fact and he's being realistic about it.
You're own child can die before you do, it's completely a false sense of security and a big gamble. But the way I see it, if one is gonna start a family, then better plan thoroughly and accordingly and do get life insurance plans because things absolutely can go wrong completely and unexpectedly in this world, that's just how it is.

I don't discriminate at least and finds all of them not pretty looking, but that's not the main reason why I don't want children. All the other reasons matter more. But I simply don't find children cute and I'm honest about it. Yes, I was ugly as a child too. Adults looks better than children imho.
So you're saying you dont want to have children because of child abuse? If you aren't gonna abuse your child then why does child abuse matter? The world is always gonna be a bad place, part of you being a parent is to make the world an ammazing place for your child even if it starts in your home. Heck if you're so concerned about the world being a bad place homeschool your child then. You're young, you're 21 and basically still getting used to living life. I really dont expect you to want children so badly anyways.
He is being realistic about it with number 10. It's a decision between risks and rewards and not everybody agrees to and accept any and all of the risks involved, and if they feel and believe they would regret it more when and should the final outcome be an undesirable and unacceptable one then they simply won't take any chances with it. So if one is unwilling to ever accept an outcome like that, then they would have to pass and forego whatever it is they are unwilling to take chances with; unwilling to risk. That's just the thing, there are NO guarantees of a "good", desirable and acceptable final outcome. It may only or even seem that way at first or in the beginning.
