My mother is a very delusional person. From believing that my shaving could cause impurities even though she shaves to know thinking she's pregnant.
Now, she loves to be the center of attention and she somehow has convinced herself that she is pregnant!!!
Let's start at the beginning. Someone we know announced that they were expecting their first child and suddenly she started having pregnancy scares. Now several years ago my parents came to the conclusion that they didn't want anymore children. But when my dad said he wanted to get a vasectomy she strongly objected. She won't go on the pill either so she's been doing this natural cycle thing and using protection of other sorts.
Now a couple years ago one of her friends was going through menopause and my mother wanting to be the center of attention started making up stories about her ''hot flashes'' and ''missed periods'' which my sister confirmed she wasn't missing. But she was telling so many people she was going through menopause. Suddenly last year she ACTUALY started to go through menopause. Actual hot flashes and actual irregular periods. Suddenly this year after hearing the news of her friends pregnancy she started having ''pregnancy scares'' and making my dad buy tests. 4 months ago she missed all her periods and told my dad she's pregnant. She then made him buy a test and then she refused to take it because ''I know I'm pregnant'' Then she told everyone including friends all while refusing to take a test. Finally she took one but it came out negative so she called it stupid got upset and took yet another one. And about 4-6 test later had the same answer.
She has no other symptoms. No morning sickness no sensitivity to smells no nothing!!!
But she insists she's pregnant. Then she decided to stop using protection.. This week she took another test and it came out negative and she was like ''ohh well I guess I'm not pregnant'' but then today she decided she wanted to go to the dr to get yet another test.
She is driving me insane I hope she will not be able to have another child because she needs to get in shape and get a grip on life.
My sister an I have come to the conclusion that since she spent so much time lying about menopause she doesn't actually realize she's going through it.
