Why is she so obsessed with me?

in nov 2013 i became friends w/ this girl from uni (anna), who was really sociable & confident as opposed to me who's insecure & don't have many friends. we instantly opened up to each other & i told her how i'm really insecure. she then became really clingy & would Skype for hours as soon as we got home from uni which tbh i would sometimes do too. she also told me that she'd never cared about anyone like this before & she loves me which i took in a friendly way. i once forgot to reply after 2 hours & she somehow found my cousin on fb and messaged her saying that she's worried because i hadn't replied to her text! My other friend mimi would sometimes hang out & i could tell that anna was jealous of our relationship, sometimes when mimi would talk to me in lecture anna would pull me away from her. she became controlling & manipulative & would throw a fit if i hung out with anyone else. then in the summer i got a job and i stopped skyping her to which she became extremely obsessive & would get angry if i didn't reply to her msg's. she would literally tell me that i was last seen a minute after she had watsapped me. Also, i was jokingly comparing each others feet to which she became offended and told me how im so insecure that i have to bring other people down to feel better about myself. she was jealous of me & my cousins relationship and told me how they would hang out with me more than her. wen we started uni in sept i realised how much she annoyed me so i became off with her and she msgd me saying i dont care about her so i spoke w/ her & said i needed space & she started crying infront of everyone, Then a few days later she sent me pics of us 2 & voicenotes of her singing in the middle of the night which i ignored. 5 mths later (last week) she told mimi she still cares 4 me & cried again & sent pics of us 2 saying im beautiful. my friends think she's in love w/ me but she's had a bf before. we were only friends 4less than 1year and she's not like this w/ her other friends
