Is it normal to feel attracted to your cousin?

Ok so I have a cousin (she's a blood cousin, my dad and her mom are brother-sister) we grew up together but there family moved about 4 hours away for the past 10 years so we didn't see each other at anymore, but now they moved back to my hometown. Anyways, we have both been hanging out a lot, and one thing we both say to each other "I love you" we say that when we are leaving or dropping each other off or just joking around. Is this normal? Also when we first saw each other again we hugged and even kissed on the lips (not a French kiss, just a little peck), every once and a while we will still kiss on the lips, is this normal? Does anyone else do this?

What can I tell her so she can calm down a bit, because from the looks of it I'd say she really wants to screw! But I don't, I mean she's attractive and I am attracted to her but that would feel so wrong!

Yes it is normal and up to about 100 years ago it was fairly common. Some states still allow 1st cousins to marry and nearly all allow 2nd or 3rd cousins.

You can marry a 1st cousin under Roman Catholic cannon law, by the way, but you must get a special dispensation form the church.

Marriage between two consanguineous (blood) immediate family members (sibling or parent-child) carries a much higher risk of birth anomalies than normal but this drops dramatically as you move to cousins.

One point to remember. It will cause a stir in your family if you take up with a cousin, but if your relationship goes badly, you could both be more or less shunned---particularly if there is a child involved. In short, having an affair with a cousin is risky socially, if nothing else.

My cousin's neighbour had a cousin who was always hitting on her so this is more common then people think but you have to surpress it because it isn't right. My cousin also tried to date me 13 years ago but we didn't date.

I don't think most people feel sexually attracted to blood cousins. It's not typical, anyway.

It wasn't long back when people used to marry their cousins. Its just societies view has altered a bit. I personally know someone that married their cousin and their kids are normal.
I personally wouldn't but if you decide to go through with it you're just going to have to put up with the awkward questions!

Well my advice would be to definitely try and cut out the physical contact. Especially the lip kissing. It's only going to make you like and desire it more. I mean, to each its own. But I wouldn't approve
