My parents won't buy me anything?

I'm bitter and I hate my parents because not only do they treat me like crap, but they don't buy me a single thing and make me feel like I'm selfish and horrible child. I barely have any clothes, I don't have any underwear except an old pair my sister gave me, I have one bra that doesn't fit right and all the clothes I wear are at least a year old. I'm 15. I had to BEG my dad to buy my biography book I need to read for school, and he was like "all you do is consume things, you always want more!" Which isn't fair, the book was for school. I know better than to ask for a book for no reason, the answer would 100% be no. My mom hates me, she acts like she's jealous of me! She won't buy me new clothes because she doesn't have enough money for herself to get new things. That isn't fair, I'm still growing and I need new clothes! They REFUSED to buy me a bottle of mascara! They told me I was selfish and a spoiled brat! Don't all 15 year old girls wear makeup? It's not like I have foundation or face wash or anything like that, just mascara and eyeshadow. Most of the eye makeup I have is from my friend anyway. For my birthday, I got my eyebrows waxed at Walmart, which was 5 months ago and my mom won't take me to do it again. My eyebrows are even thicker now and I just don't understand WHY they don't buy me anything or let me be like everyone my age, why should I feel bad about asking for things?

Unfortunately, not every family can afford luxuries like makeup or eyebrow waxes for their children. That's something you will have to accept until you're old enough to buy them for yourself.

But it's not right that you go without necessities such as underwear or books for school, and it sounds like their attitude about it is borderline abusive. You need to go to your school counselor or child protective services for help. You are a minor and someone should be providing you with basics like underwear without making you feel like a spoiled brat for asking for those things.

You should look around to see if you can get a babysitting job.
Or when you turn 16 get a fast food job.
Then you can buy your own stuff.

But you really should talk to your parents about the fact that they won't buy you underwear.
Maybe you should even say that it's not right for you not to have any, and tell them you're going to talk to your counselor about it, and see what they say. They might actually do it out of fear of getting the school/CPS involved.

As long as they don't make threats that stop her from feeling like she is free to seek help. Her parents sound abusive and I'm sad to say I wouldn't put it past them.

You can ask your parents to give you money for clothes instead of clothes themselves and then buy clothes from the thrift store.

I had hand me downs, got an allowance once or twice a year, got presents from garage sales. Yeah it sucked, but my parents did the best they could with what they had. I got a job and paid for the things I want. Your 15, take a little innovative and get a part time job if you want the finer things in life.

It's not about the finer things in life, I just want clothes that fit me and not to be made to feel selfish for the littlest things that every girl gets except me.

Not ever girl and boy does get those things. I didn't. I had jeans with patches on patches. Get a job and buy your own clothes. Pluck your own eyebrows. I get where your coming from, I felt the same at 15. I just took it into my own hands. I mowed yards, shoveled driveways, and got a job at a fast food joint at 15. Do this and maybe you'll learn the importance of a dollar. And how those little things you want add up.

@Blueeyes81 oh shut the hell up. Nobody cares what you had in life. It's not being " spoiled" by needing BASIC things teenagers need. Seriously? She doesn't have UNDERWEAR , bras? Not even face wash? Come on. I'm not saying she needs Mac and 40$ lipstick , but they can't even buy her some mascara? She's 15 ! Most places won't even hire you until you're 16 ! She is a kid ! I'm so sick and tired of adults going around saying " get a job " . She is a CHILD. She doesn't NEED to work to support herself for basic things any civilized child would need. That's for the parents to do , because last time I checked they brought her into the world. Tired of lazy ass parents always expecting the child to basically support themselves now a days. @swornfavorite98 I suppose that's just the difference in how we were raised. I paid for most all my clothes, shoes, car, insurance, entertainment, from age 15 up. My parents gave me food and a place to live. Simply put, you can do nothing to better your situation or you can put forth effort to improve your life. I'm not saying what she's going through isn't rough, it is. In a perfect world we'd all have what we wanted. A lot of you are calling for CPS to get involved. That's pretty risky, if she gets removed from her home she's a ward of the state. She'd get clothes (a voucher for 50 bucks to buy all that she needs for a week). If she's lucky she'd get foster care (some are good, some are even worse). She'd more than likely end up in a group home. Same thing some are good, some are horrible. I really only suggest CPS for sexual abuse or physical abuse and extreme verbal abuse.

My parents stopped giving me money as soon as I got into the music scene playing guitars learning how to play myself and setting myself up to that. I can now make money from music - my passion so no worries.

I had less than my peers growing up and I resented it because it wasn't because my parent's couldn't afford it, it's because they were tight. So I got made fun of for being poor. You'll probably move out and not look back as early as possible, I did.

My mom was the same. I had to start working at 14 so I could provide for myself. But talk to them or another family member to see why they are treating you like that.

No. Not every 15 year old needs make up. Face wash would actually better. J see where your parent are coming from, I would get you clothes but not make up and that nasty shiz
