Everyone around me is getting engaged and pregnant and it’s freaking me out... Anyone else getting freaked out too?

This happened a lot my senior year of high school and now it’s happening again. The ages are a little spread out but seems like everyone I know is pregnant or just had a kid! My goodness! Freaking me out! Anyone else freaking out with me?

It happens in every generation: some start getting married, so others think they need to, as well. SOCIAL PRESSURE!! You must, because EVERYONE is doing it, right? NO!!
A single, or few, don't, maybe the 'smart ones'
Five years later those 'Happily Married' couples are fighting, arguing, and cheating. After ten years, if they make it that long, divorce, then a few years later, their kids in Therapy because of all the sht they saw, heard and watched their parents do to each other!
Some kids get drugged, others, are just messed up, and get jobs their parents hate, or date people that they know will just piss their parents off.
Maybe just wait, and find the right guy, the right person, and develop a solid relationship, rather than just jump on the 'Merry-Go-Round of Destroying Lives!'
Been one of those kids, and know what I am talking about. Now, it is even worse for kids today!

Not really.. just don't get pregnant.. I mean find a guy you wanna make babies with of course but be weary. Guys blast there loads cuz they got no control. Or something haha just watch out..

of course it is okay not to have sex.. I can agree with that but... what is it that you are most afraid of? And getting prego can't be one of them.

Lol getting pregnant is def a big reason. Also getting that close to someone... Seeing a man naked... just afraid. Why can’t getting pregnant be a reason? Lots of people are on birth control and wear a condom and still get pregnant

Well the only reason I say it can't be getting pregnant is becuz I know that's the number one answer lol. If we were in that one game show family feud my team would go first lol..

Lol like that show! I just know I’m gonna be nervous and not be able to enjoy so I want to wait until I might not be nervous

I just turned 25, and I see lots of my friends getting married, engaged, having children, etc. Which is nice if they want to do so with their lives, that's great.

I personally am career oriented. I plan to finish uni, and get my diploma, then continue into a long term career, while still attending school on the side. I have other plans besides marriage, and I personally cannot have children (I never wanted any to begin with) however medically it's not possible for me. So, I plan to do some travelling in the near future, to save up and visit family in different countries, to explore my own country too. :)
I think comparing yourself and your life with someone elses is the WORST thing you can do.

You do your own thing, live your own life and do what you want to do. It's all yours to enjoy :)

It freaked me out when it was happening around me at your age, and I'm now experiencing the next wave of weddings, and it does freak me out a lot... its like there is suddenly a whole new generational chapter... personally I dont want children or marriage, and it's difficult for some to accept that when everyone is doing it.. so that's also why it freaks me out, on a personal level, I just can't imagine myself doing any of those things.

I couldn’t imagine marriage or kids until recently I can imagine marriage. But I don’t want kids. He wants kids. We’ve talked about it. He thinks I will. I don’t think I’d be a good mom at all!

It will pass. Had that happen lots of years ago. And most are divorced (multiple times) and their kids are causing all kinds of problems in their lives. And yet, here I have been - living a happy drama free life all this time. I feel like the winner. :)

I've had the same feeling when I came back home for summer holidays after the first year of unversity. Bunch of girls who I went to elementary school with were pregnant and I was just like wtf when did that happen.

Yes it does freak me out when i hear about some of the stuff people post on Facebook about their decease babies and yet she's pregnant again with her 11 th baby yes a woman with some major issues. LOL
