My mom found cigarette pack in my room. whats the best excuse?

she was cleaning my room and found my hidden cigarette pack when i was in the shower. later when i was doing my make up in my room, she came in and asked me about it.

i was shook but stayed calm and said that it was from a friend. she seems to believe it but also not.

what did you say when your parent found cigarettes in your room? and what would be the best excuse?

Same thing happened to me when I was 17. I told the same story "its not mine!" she said "ohh, okay then" but believe me, moms were not born yesterday. She was always passive - aggresive about cigarettes since then. Dont bother with excuses, moms know better.

If you blame your friend she is going to think bad about your friendships... Its just a bad idea.
You should tell her that you found them on the school floor and you were going to give it to your teacher but then you forgot and you just took it out of your bag so you dont forget again

I was showing my dad my new jacket today, he touched the jacket to feel it, and found the cigarette pack in my pocket hahah. The thing is, im 18 years old, I did smoke for like a month and then quit last year, and the pack really was my friends, and thus thats what I told. Though he did ask me If I smoke, and for obvious reasons I lied and said I never did. He then told me why smoking was bad, but didn't really get mad, but now Im not sure if he believed me, dont know If i should stress about it or not.
