Boyfriend slept with his mom until he was 13?

When i heard this- i was kinda grossed out and judged him a little. Although by the age of 12 he started making a pallet on the floor, he slept with his mom until 13. She always jokes about him being the 3rd person in the "relationship" in regaurds to her and his step dad.

Is this weird?

I don't necessarily find a strange. There are a lot of people that grew up in places where there are not a lot of bedrooms. It is expensive nowadays didn't even get one bedroom apartment. If he had a living situation where he was not able to have a room of his own, then again it's not weird. Not everybody is privileged to have their own room let alone their own bed.

Now if the situation was he does have his own room and bed and he just choose to sleep with his parents, then again , there may be a reason for it. So I don't think it's is for anybody to really judge. There will have to be other factors.

Some moms are very over the top. My neighbor their youngest son he got babied so much. His mom read to him when he was already in school for 4-5 years because he was too lazy to read anything himself. And I had to tell him to lose his mouth while chewing because nobody had ever done that before like what? It was gross.

He turned out well anyway but some moms just don't know where to draw the line.

It is unusual but not unheard of. I have only heard of it occurring with single moms. Which could be either son or daughter and if more than one kid I have heard of them all just ‘camping’ out with their mom nightly either on the floor or in her bed.

well the mom babied him, he was 13 and his mom probably still treates him like a child, can't really blame either one of them in this situation but if you are gonna blame one, blame the mother

Keyword in all that was step dad. Maybe he had a tough time growing up. I'm sure some therapy might help if he has issues now.
