I would like to assume you have been going to counselling?
if not book some in, even if you have in the past, look at a catch up session.
as for the rest, how is your confidence as a person?
Unless you have some level of confidence, simply joining a club etc may be counter productive and I would look at improving your confidence a bit first.
also practice talking to people. Go out shopping and ask sales people questions, electronic shops are good, as you can ask a geek stuff and they will chat away. Get used to simply chatting with a stranger.
once you have confidence and chatting sorted, start looking at a club or similar to join, something you like, it can be online to start with, then as you build up a rapport with people, can arrange meet ups etc,

It's sad if you're unhappy with it. A lot of times, it takes a good burst of effort to start changing your life in a positive direction. Things that bring me happiness are the satisfaction of finishing drawings/art projects, spending time with my girlfriend/friends/parents, laughing, etc. Figure out what makes you happy, even if it takes some trial and error. Put yourself out there. It will be worth it.

25 is too old to be in high school. That might be your problem. I suspect once you get out of high school and out into the world things will get better.
