If you don't want kids is there a goal in life other than living? what are other goals to living that don't include having a traditional family?

Me and my boyfriend are trying hard not to have kids (may happen you never know) but yes there’s more to life than having kids. You get more freedoms , vacations , early retirement time and more time as a couple. Me and my boyfriend love each other’s company and we are both enough for each other

@Sevenpointfive he is probably the only person in my life that has ever understood me and who I am as a person lol of course there’s a purpose. We both mesh with each other and me and him are trying to build an enjoyable life for ourselves

This is a great question, I am currently 17 and I am male, I live in a town with my best friend (female) we have a mutual best friend (female) in the city. Once we are done with school we are going to move into a small house together in the city with our mutual best friend, our plan for life is to live together until we grow old just the 3 of us, and go travelling as much as we can, we aren't getting married to anyone else, we are also not having kids, however, we do plan on potentially adopting teenagers for a few years at a time once we have a stable income. marriage and having kids is overrated.

I don't have any expectation of any "afterlife" so my goal is to appreciate my time here and enjoy myself to the fullest. I'm grateful to experience life. That's all that matters.

I have no obligation to sacrifice myself to the raising of children. My wife and I are both happy that we don't have any.
