Honestly? I'm NEVER in a holiday mood if it means spending time with my family.

I know, I know, that sounds terrible, but as I get older, I appreciate just being at home alone, relaxing, not at work, and doing my own thing. I don't even need all the fancy "holiday food" people harp over. I am in no rush to go to my mom's place today, but I will.

The only reason I tolerate the holidays is because I know my parents are getting older and won't be around forever, so obviously I try to make them happy. If they're happy, I'm happy.

Usually I'm not, but for some reason this year I am. I typically get extremely stressed around the holiday season (and I still am dealing with it to a point, but not nearly as bad as usual). I've had a rough year in general, so perhaps it's my mind saying "screw it, just make the best of it!" 🤣

i live in the uk... im not christian so dont celebrate Christmas, im not American so dont celebrate thanks giving and just so you know the word holiday in england refers to what you would call a vacation which is traditionally a summer thing here. so to sum up no im not in the holiday mood but im sure plenty of your fellow countrymen/women are

You mean pretend to like people?
I mean I'm ready for some turkey and whatnot. Luckily I'm in a family of mostly women. So they talk, talk, talk, and I can just relax and eat. And they're well aware of my sarcastic nature. So I can be an a**hole and they just think I'm kidding.
