No. A man who is "alpha" is a man who is a wolf in an inaccurate study that was debunked over half a century ago, and is clung to by overgrown teenagers who can't hold their testosterone.
A man who owns his freedom and is confident doesn't much care what society calls him, and places very little importance on status. Not much at all like the "alphas" that so many idolize.
A gay man, on the other hand, is simply a man who is sexually attracted to other men. That has nothing to do with confidence or social status, and such man can (and, indeed, are) found at every social "rank".
If you kneel at the altar of social demands, it doesn't much matter whether you walk or crawl into the temple.
