This man still wants to find his daughter (then 2 years old) that's been missing for 25 years. He had full custody and dropped her off for a supervised visit with the girl's mother. Neither the mother nor the girl were seen since. The girl was allegedly kidnapped by her own mother.

If she was kidnapped by the mother there is an excellent chance she is still alive. I would keep looking.
Everyone has a digital footprint these days and there is a good chance the ex wife can be tracked down.
