How to react when someone calls you fat?

Hold a mirror up to them and respond, "Says the pot calling the kettle black." LOL. Most people who do that are just insecure or have their own flaws and issues.

As for me, I'd take it as motivation to work on further improving myself. I KNOW I could stand to lose a few more pounds and inches.
Honestly, I wish people would have told me I was fat when I was at my heaviest, instead of waiting until after I lost weight to tell me, "You look so good now; you used to be big!" : Yeah, why didn't tell you tell me that sooner? I love how honest people after the fact I'm not as big as I used to be. People are too afraid of offending people to be upfront with them when they first notice a problem.

You being fat may or may not be an objective fact but even if it is that doesn't make it ok to 'name call', I would perhaps suggest to playfully refer to these people as 'assholes' or whatever.

You could also try having a conversation about it with them but that may well be a waste of time as i get the impression they are brain dead.

ignore them… them saying that you’re fat doesn’t necessarily mean that you actually are fat. now if you have a bit extra weight on you and you feel happy with the way you look and you’re healthy, then just brush them off.
