What age did your baby crawl?

My son is six months and hasn't crawled yet but he rolls everywhere. My mom said that I did the same thing but I want to teach him to crawl.

Do you mean soldier-style belly crawling, where it's just arms and stomach muscles, or "proper" four-limbed crawling? As long as he reaches walking eventually, it doesn't really matter, but having more options WILL make these weeks and months more pleasant for him.

And not everyone follows the same patterns; my father was walking at six months, which is probably the earliest I've ever heard of, but I think he was a superhero (he figured out how to escape his playpen at twelve months, and yet his parents had SEVEN younger children after him, so it runs in the family).

hemight have tender knees. I never crawled either and my knees are still pretty tender.
