Mine would likely be aimed for the expanding homeschool market and would focus on basic decency, honesty, helpfulness, good manners, etc.

I've seen too many young children struggle with reading. I'd go back to the good old fashioned "See Spot, see Spot run" books. I appreciate teachers and the work they do to educate our kids, but too often I see them trying to teach new methods that someone thought would be a good idea (and probably published in a magazine), rather than using tried and true simple techniques that have worked for centuries.

Let me make it clear. I'm not criticizing teachers. Rather, I criticize education managers and those who decide what goes into teacher training, who come up with new ideas and concepts just to get themselves recognized, rather than trying to understand how kids learn best.

I would go with an old school blend. I use to write childrens book as a teen and into my mid 20s my ex kept my portfolio refusing to give it back claiming he burned it. I never bother with anything since.

I did write a children's book about a bear who was a doctor. The bear went to the city to help a human doctor and he had some misadventures. My ex-wife destroyed the manuscript.

Teaching kids morals, life lessons and character do not change so we should stick to the old time tradition not water them down by being politically correct or "woke"
We should teach our kids that a person should not be judged on their ethnic background, religious background or sexual orientation but by their actions and character,
