Is a guy in his mid 30's who lives with his mum weird?

In context he has a job, he help with doing the washing, cooks dinner, helps with bills.

He tried looking for his own place awhile back but no joy.

His mum doesn't want to really live on her own and she doesn't want a relationship or other with a man even though even if she did he is supportive if she did.

What are your thoughts?

Multi generational housing is common nowadays. If he's single with one paycheck it makes sense with todays high rent.

To me it's weird when a son or daughter has a family and they are all living at a parents home.

Totally ok. I live with my mother. I take care of her and pay her bills. Unfortunately I can't afford to get my own place and pay for her at the same time.

I would recommend reading into covert incest since it’s a LOT more different then overt. The reason I say that cuz it has elements of “mummy’s boy”, but is very widely regarded as “normal” when it really isn’t.
