Why does my co-workers make fun of my boyfriend?

When ever I describe him or even tell them his name, they seem to think he’s the most weird person in the world. (By the way his name is Dennis. What’s wrong with that?) Example: “Who names their kid that?” “That seems like a Dennis thing to do”
