My coworker for some strange reason was comparing himself to my lovely boyfriend. Asked me what car he drives? If he has a house? I am curious to see what he looks like? Then he said I have a house if I meet a girl and we have children I am able to provide. I have things going for me.

From what you shared … he wants to replace your “lovely boyfriend” with himself in that roll. His approach obviously is not working and from what I can tell in seeing other guys do this … it never does work.
