Is Promiscuity Genetic?

My whole life I have grown up with half siblings on my mother's side of the family. Over the years we have been raised as siblings and not "half siblings". When I was 15 I found out that all of my siblings have different biological fathers. I was shocked and grossed out to find out that my mother would allow different men to impregnate her over and over again. Granted my mom was a beautiful woman and many men would attempt to court her but why did she allow many of them inside of her? Recently I have cheated on my current boyfriend twice and he still loves me. Sometimes I think about the reasoning behind why I decided to bed other men while seeing a guy but I can't find the reasoning. Have I been predisposed to promiscuity?

The way you are raised gives about 90% of how you will behave, the rest comes from the DNA you have. If you have seen your mother with different men then its very likely you will do the same too. Just like if a boy has seen his father screw around he too will screw around. Our behavior is mostly affected by what others do and teach us. If you always learned monogamy and being a virgin until marriage and have always heard and seen girls state they married and lost their virginity than that's what you too will do.

I'm unfortunately going to say this. You will cheat again and again on your partner because you lack the certain ability you would have learned from your mother if she stayed with her first. The fact that she has several children with different men will also affect your life. You will have babies of different men.

My solution is go to the path of god and try to find moral happiness. Find faith and loyalty to your boyfriend to repair the damage you did by cheating on him.
