How do I cope with competitive feelings towards my friend who is so much prettier than me and gets more male attention? I want to be a good friend to her, but dunno know atm. All I want is to get some attention but guys always stare and wolf whistle at her on the street and ignore me. It's always in my face. I'm quite pretty, but a bit chubby. She's gorgeous and skinny. How do I cope?

This is mainly your insecurity, it's not about how you look. Everyone is beautiful in their way, the cliche is guys only like skinny women, but that's so far from the truth. Women of all shapes and sizes are absolutely gorgeous to so many different guys.

What you need to do is stop overreacting, stop competing, grow some confidence like, "this is me, I am beautiful and I am worth it". Show off your personality. You do all of this and I promise you your attraction to guys will really grow.

Yeah but she's also got a prettier face. She literally used to mode and I could never. The only thing I have over her is better grades, but even in that she's smart as well. But thank u, I will try what you said. I need to have more confidence in myself.

You dont need to cope , i am certain that some other men like you and your appearance , but if you feel you are left behind in the beauty competition you can work on yourself to reach the full potential at other aspects , read social books to know how to handle men , try to learn to play on a guitar or piano , new language is great idea

If I were you I’d definitely distance myself from them for a while and focus on becoming the better version of myself and loving myself. It’s hard I know but you need to do it or else you’ll be stuck there having jealousy for other people as well. I had a friend who was so drowned in jealousy that she completely lost herself and is doing drugs and mentally unstable. It’s not worth it mama, let go of the jealousy now and save yourself from deeper issues.

Thank u girl, I already told her what my insecurities are around her and she assured me that I'm on the same level as her, but even with other pretty girls I get jealous. I used to suffer from an eating disorder awhile ago and I think I'm still insecure from that. It's totally my issue, though. Not theirs. I need to get more confident.

Appearance isn't everything. Beauty fades my dear, but knowledge never. My advice is to learn as much as you can , stay in shape and be the best version of yourself. Also love yourself. Self confidence is very important.
