Am I stupid or just a good person?

So... My friend from the online dating ask dragged me into a group chat in Whatsapp.

I rarely participate but was active these days, someone said they're pregnant (there's so much people in the group and many doesn't know each other), me and another girl (although much less than me) freaked out and I even pulled the person into private chat for conversation to confirm some sensitive things.

Being Muslim I felt bad for not saying anything when the suggestion of abortion came out in the group chat but the person was 19 and lives with parents and in private they (the person) said the boy denied them.

I was pouring my heart out for saying pregnancy stick first, telling the guy, dragging him for examination and telling the parents who're aware of their relationship if it's confirmed and if the boy insist on denying then just call his mom for her pay.

Then he says, that was prank and I'm a boy...

He even gave me the good person card in private chat and comforted my wounded ass by saying he didn't expect such big and comforting reaction, at this point I couldn't even be mad because the wholehearted trust I put in what he said before only for it to turn out to be a prank...

And there comes the question "Am I stupid or just a good person?"

You are just a good person. But always remember to not be interested into other people's life as much as you showed in the chat. Not cool. Everybody just likes to be listened to online. Most of the time.

This happened with me too. I know her from school days. And we are together in engineering too. It is very likely that she did a prank on me with the chat. I left it as it is with a good ending. Never brought it up.

Just don't be over invested in other people's lives. They mess it up. They deal with it.

You're a really nice and genuinely amazing person to anyone and he is a fake. I'd pretend not to know about it at first and I would insist to meet up somewhere soon. Like a restaurant and I would wait until they need the bathroom, then follow him down the way there and immediately get his attention to face me before he gets there and I would knee him in his privates as hard as I could. It is so horrible to do that to a boy. He will be really really sorry.
