Is 900$ a month too much for child support for one kid?

i know its based on income but im just wondering am i on the high end low end or somewhere in the middle for one child.

I'd say it's a fair amount. You should consider with this high inflation giving more if you can afford it.
I just went to the store and a dozen jumbo sized eggs are $8.99/doz.
I don't know what your relationship is with your ex, but your child and her should never be suffering for necessities if you can help out.
In 1979 when I divorced Mt son's father for cheating on me, judge ruled $150/mo. He never paid it, and yes, we suffered for it.

I would say that’s pretty normal from what I have seen especially if you owe back pay. My sisters boyfriend lost his apartment and had to move back into his parents house because he owed back pay on child support. Was paying upwards of $2K per month. And he was making a little over $2K per month.

Hard to say without specifics. If you have a net income (after tax) of around $3600/month, your ex does not work, and you pay no insurance for the child, that would be standard.

I’m not sure what the average is but i receive $450 for one child.
but children are expensive so I don’t think $900 a month is too much
