I would say that trust is one of the most important things in a friendship. Trust allows people to feel secure and comfortable with each other, knowing that they can confide in each other and rely on each other for support. Other important factors in a friendship can include mutual respect, honesty, communication, shared interests and experiences, and a willingness to be there for each other through good times and bad. Ultimately, every friendship is unique and what is most important will depend on the individuals involved and their specific needs and values.

    Loyalty first and trust second.

Put into only slightly better words, you need to know they care about how you see them and they need to care about how you see them.

loyalty. we all feel alone in this world and knowing someone has your back is a hard thing to get. it's something you need to hold onto as hard as you can if you find it. i don't even care too much if my friend is an asshole and we barely talk anymore as long as ik they have my back when it matters

loyalty and just showing up when u need them the most (my "best friend" didn't even help me with something that she's capable of helping with ease , she's just with me to pass time for fun bc she doesn't have friends except for me , but she treats me like shit)

I personally think friends both men and women should be honest with each and stick up for one another Incase they noticed their friends being bullied, so basically sticking together in terms of hard times

Loyalty and trust must be the foundation on which every relationship should be built. Nothing is more important.

Trust and loyalty. Don’t call me a friend if you got none of both. It goes both ways

    Common ground.

Either be united by something both love doing or characteristics both love in each other.

Mutual respect! It can't exist for very long without it. You don't have to think alike (though that helps). But you must respect the way each other thinks.

Everone has to do their best to keep with others in touch. Once when nobody cares, it's too late.

Also if that’s a given… then the most important thing is….. compatibility and consideration. I think the two just go hand in hand.
