I personally try to sit off by myself and keep to myself. I will admit I don't really like the people acting so chipper and coming up to me saying good morning, but I take it anyway. I do shake their hand if they extend it to me but other than that I kinda like my privacy. Like I don't mind some social situations but I tend to be selective of people I talk to , shake hands, hug etc... I used to be a more social person, but after the last couple years I don't feel it anymore.
some churches encourage greeting each other. i think that is good marketing. at others just sit silently even "beside each other no contact. if you sit alone separate some will target you to "help" the shy outsider, so if you want less attention sit beside someone then less people to interact.

Many people i think go 2 church for the wrong. Meaning they want people 2 see them one way. U go 2 church 2 hear the word of God. Not 2 just 2 be seen. Remember God knows what u are always thinking. Along with He sees all
I usually mind my own business as I am there to attend the mass.
However, I usually greet people (whether I know them or not) upon entering and upon leaving.
I don't waste time getting into my car to leave unless a friend chats with me a bit.
I get a lot of attention at church because I know the bible very well, better then a lot of pastors or rabbis so people always ask for my phone number when I visit one. But I left because I felt like a show off.
