They can pass it down. I got anxiety from mom and grandma. They have anxiety, and NPD.
But the only thing they passed down to me is anxiety, but dealing with them during my years of growing up, I got anxiety and BPD as the result. BPD is extremely hard to be treated.

You very well could but it could also bypass you and skip to your kids or grandkids. That's what happened to me. My great grandmother had schizophrenia and it skipped down to me.

Some of them are highly hereditary and some are not
