Look, I love my cat.. I would even give my life for my cat, but as a mother with 3 babies, taking care of a cat/or dog is not the same as real parenting. The things a pet wants from you are quite simple. As long as you fulfill these, you don't have to do ''parenting''

Exactly. You’re not raising pets to be contributing members of society. Pets are not children.

+1 yWhat kind of retard filled school needed to do a study to know this?
This is common knowledge, most people who like having pets, whether they have children or not, treat their pets like their own babies.
Its been the normal relationship between humans and pets since we first started taming wild animals (that and labor, hunting or farm animals). It would actually be weird for a person to not do that with their pets.
This isn't news 😂10 Reply
+1 yI find this stupid. It's like when children play with dolls pretending to be their parent. Stop playing, give birth to a child and become parent. Pets are pets, they don't require your 'parenting'. Its like people try to get themselves additional scores, like - oh look, I'm a dog parent, so it means i can be a good human child parent.. Stop pretending.
062 Reply- +1 y
I don’t want to give birth though and raise a kid. Id rather have a dog and yeah their not kids. I agree! Kids are hard work. They are very expensive and time consuming. Pets do not require the same amount of money, time, or care that a child does!
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee Can you explain why? why so many people nowadays are afraid to have kids? To me this is life priority.
- +1 y
Because its a choice?…. Is it not?
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee But what's the point of your life then? you miss the experience of having a child. When you die, what will you leave after yourself, what kind of footprint will you leave? Basically, your family tree will just end. Thousands of years of passing venues were worthless because of your choice. Depressing.
- +1 y
venues = genes.
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee I see. You are only 25. You will change your mind soon.
- +1 y
Haha, your funny! What is the point of life? Well, that’s difficult to say! Because everyone has different opinions! Human beings are very unique individuals with different priorities, goals, interests, opinions, likes, and dislikes in this world. That is what makes us so unique!! People find joy in different things. What you may find joyful, may not be joyful for other people if that makes sense… Yes, im 25 years of age. But I have always felt more drawn towards animals than humans as to why i work in the veterinary field instead of human medicine! It’s also why i do pet sitting services, instead of babysitting! Because my interest, is more towards animals. Do you see what i mean?
- +1 y
You talk about genetics. Im not royal blood. So I don’t care much for passing on mu genetics! And sometimes, some genes shouldn’t be passed anyway! I would be disappointed if my hypothetical child came out with physical or mental disabilities… genes are not always important
- +1 y
When I die, the world continues! Life moves on!!! People are born every single day! People die every single day! It is life! The world keeps going on:)
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee Well, if you consider that your genes shouldn't be passed.. maybe you're right.
- +1 y
I see more in MY life for myself, other than just raising children. I do not see that for myself in all honesty. I just don’t… i like my own company. I prefer to be alone, than be stuck with a kid 24/7. I wouldn’t want someone glued at my hip all the time. I do prefer my own company in peace and quiet. I would rather work a fulltime career, and still come home to no responsibility, just relaxing. With a career, i have breaks, time off. Parenting is a 24/7 job with no breaks. No time off. Look, I don’t think you understand the responsibility that comes with a child. The cost… it’s a lot and not everyone is interested enough in children to literally dedicate their entire life to one. Im sorry but I don’t want to change my life for someone who doesn’t exist and who won’t exist…
- +1 y
Look, im just saying in general that genes shouldn’t always be passed. The kid could come out damn retarted
- +1 y
I also don’t want to experience being pregnant or let alone give birth. Absolutely fucking not.
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee You will grow up. Wait for it. Just wait for it.
- +1 y
I am grown up! I work a fulltime career doing what i love! I have 50k in my savings! I would say im grown up:) plenty of people have kids and their immature
- +1 y
I never wanted kids growing up. I never have even felt “baby fever”
- +1 y
I never have wanted to be a mom lol
- +1 y
Its like im repeating myself… I don’t have interest in kids. I don’t like babies
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee Just wait for it. I was just like you 10 years ago.
- +1 y
And I've been this way my whole life!
- +1 y
I don’t like babies or young kids. I prefer animals…
- +1 y
I am so glad i have no kids like other girls my age
- +1 y
Respect me please
- +1 y
Im repeatedly saying the same thing
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee Same thing you're doing in your life - repeatedly going circles without any progress.
- +1 y
Like i said, my preference is animals. Its why i work in veterinary medicine and not human medicine. Its why i petsit, and not babysit lol.
- +1 y
Any progress? What is progress? Me having a child I won’t like?
- +1 y
There is more to life than kids. I don’t want them. Why is that hard for you to accept?
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee Ok I'm not trying to convince you. It's your life. I'll just stop, and go watch X-Files TV series.
- +1 y
Please don’t convince someone who made themselves clear:)
- +1 y
People should ONLY have kids when they DESIRE them.
- +1 y
You need to understand that a child is a huge responsibility and most of the responsibility falls onto the mother. She does most of the work. She is the one who has to be pregnant for 9 months and give birth. She is the one who most likely needs to stay at home while the husband works, if there is no other options which happens majority of the time. Kids are very very expensive and they are time consuming. Look at this economy and inflation prices. You think kids are a smart decision? I think not. I would rather save my money, and use it on myself and my bills and rent. I like having my freedom and privacy. I prefer peace and quiet and a clean home. I also like my own company and not having someone glued at my side 24/7. I like to come home to relaxing, not having to take care of a child. I honestly just have no interest in kids. My interest is towards animals. Kids throw tantrums. Animals don’t. My dog/cat won’t throw a screaming tantrum in public. Kids shit in diapers until they are about 3-4 years old. Cats, by the time their 9 weeks, poop in litterboxes. Dogs, poop outside. No nasty ass wiping or diaper changing here!!! Birds and reptiles live in cages. They don’t free roam around the house wrecking havoc. Pets can stay at home while you go out, kids, cannot be alone. A dog, that is well trained and behaved, will listen more, than a toddler for example.
- +1 y
So yes, i would rather have pets. They are less expensive, less time consuming, not annoying, less messy, and less work. I don’t want the responsibility of a child cuz im simply not interested. Kids require life sacrifice and dedication. Pets, don’t require so much and they can be left at home unlike babies and small kids…
- +1 y
And this conversation my friends is the difference between winners and losers at life.
- +1 y
Lastly, I don’t want someone else’s baggage if they leave me. I don’t want to be stuck with their offspring. If my partner decides to leave me, cool. Divorce or break up. Move on. I don’t want the baggage of a child and to be a single mom. I like a simple, peaceful life for myself.
- +1 y
Ah, so im a loser at life because I don’t have kids?
- +1 y
Plenty of losers have kids. What are you talking about? Plenty of irresponsible people have kids… and those kids are neglected. Im making the smart decision by not having kids I don’t want
- +1 y
Do you want irresponsible people to have kids?
- +1 y
Do you want people who don’t like kids to still have kids?…
- +1 y
Kids don’t make people responsible lol. Plenty of losers have kids😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
- +1 y
@artgorgeous The irony of your nonsense statement, is my interest in exotic pets is one of many reasons why I DON'T want kids, so they certainly are NOT a way to boast parenting skills for future baby making...
I'd rather not have to cut open a python to save a baby, so I can't have both, and well, pythons are cooler and not as messy, loud, destructive, or annoying.
Then you have collectables, children are sure to ruin those.
Also baby poop is horrid.
I like restful sleep.
I could go on. - +1 y
@TheSpaceGnome Whatever
- +1 y
@TheSpaceGnome yep same. Animals are far better. I would rather deal with a pet, than a human child. I also find infants and toddlers gross and messy.
- +1 y
Kids are annoying af. Especially babies and toddlers, their a menace!
- +1 y
@artgorgeous fuck them kids lmfao
- +1 y
@TheSpaceGnome animals also don’t throw tantrums or yell when they want something.
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee Some pets do throw tantrums and yell, like cats or dogs, but its much easier to please them or get them to calm down in most cases. Also cat complaining is usually just funny weird noises.
- +1 y
@artgorgeous. These women are damaged good. It's better they don't become mothers.
- +1 y
@KrakenAttackin you don’t have to be “damaged” to simply not want kids due to not liking them and simply not wanting that responsibility. I have no interest in kids. Never have. I always have had a preference towards animals, its why i work in the veterinary field instead of human medicine and it is also why i take care of peoples pets instead of their children when they go on vacation…. My interest is with animals. I don’t care much for kids. I especially don’t really like babies or toddlers in all honesty either
- +1 y
I honestly don’t like kids lol. So its better I don’t have something im not very passionate about😂😂😂
- +1 y
@artgorgeous
Not to speak for @Brittanyroseee of course, but I'm in the same boat so I thought I'd chime in. We're not scared of it, it just has no appeal. I don't like pineapple on my pizza. That doesn't make me scared of hawaiians. I don't like to smoke crack on the corner. So I don't do it. I'm not scared of doing it. You clearly like kids. I don't. And the ones I can tolerate in short bursts is because they go home soon and I don't have to deal with them. They're a fraction of my size and have limited strength and coordination. I'm not scared of them. I'm pretty sure I can take most toddlers in a fair fight. Even the really hefty ones that hang out in walmart toy aisle with no parent in sight. - +1 y
@BoopBoopBeep THANK YOU!! FINALLY SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS! WE DONT WANT KIDS BECAUSE IT doesn't APPEAL OR INTEREST US. PERIOD.
- +1 y
@artgorgeous. For men, it's having to be tied to the crazy bitch mother for life. Kids are the best; bitchy, nagging, projecting, controlling, women are the worst.
- +1 y
And id hate to be tied to a child and a man lol
- +1 y
I would not want the baggage of someone else
- +1 y
Kids are annoying tbh
- +1 y
They cry cry cry and scream and throw tantrums and demand all the time and are messy
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee There's 8 billion people in the world. I remember when we hit 5. I'd be quite okay with going back to that number. Everybody doesn't need to spread their genes
- +1 y
I agree. there's enough people on this planet and I don’t care about spreading my genetics anyway lol
- +1 y
Im not royal blood lmfao
- +1 y
And what if the kid comes out severely disabled too? Thats not a contributing member to society anyway
While pets are not children, you are raising them and you have to train and teach them which I'd something parents have to do with their children.
Now that my kids are grown up, my pets are my kids and they are a very important part of my family.00 Reply
+1 yYeah for sure. Pets are cheaper than kids and it's socially acceptable to look at your fur child with love and tell them they're a stinky little bastard.
20 Reply453 opinions shared on Family & Friends topic. It is. Some people nowadays would rather have pets than kids… and they’d spend money on doggy daycare, pet insurance, pet school training, pet boarding and treat/see their pets as their kids. Pets are not cheap!
03 Reply- +1 y
Kids are not cheap either😂
- +1 y
Pets are better though
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee I didn’t say they are

It's like saying constipation is "the same" as pregnancy. Though I suppose pet "parents" are full of shit.

+1 yThere's levels too it. I love my dogs. But if NY dog attacked one of my children or grandchildren, I'd kill that dog, zero regrets.
07 Reply- +1 y
Even if your child provoked the dog? Which most crotch goblins do. Very sad. Most attacks on children are due to the child provoking the dog such as kicking them, climbing on them, smacking them, tugging at their skin or ears, grabbing their face and getting into their personal space. I feel more bad for the dog who gets euthanized due to that crotch goblin bothering the dog and the parents lack of knowledge on dogs and knowing when to pull their semen demon away.

I went to hawaii a few summers ago, many stray cats. I saw a toddler approach a cat and started roughly patting the cat and i went up to the kid and said “stop don’t do that she doesn’t like it” and i pushed the toddler away lmfao
- +1 y
Fuck them kids.
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee Amen. Preach it sister! Punk kid kicked my dog once and got laid out. Wasn't laughing anymore no matter how many times I asked him to.
- +1 y
@BoopBoopBeep I honestly never feel bad it a child gets bit. 98% of the time, they provoke the dog to get bitten.. and parents who still allow their brats to harass the family dog and ignoring stress signs, should have their children taken away from CPS lol
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee Yeah I just hate it because the dog ends up getting put down when it's the with PTSD. Start putting down brat kids and they'll learn a thing or two about not putting hands on others.
+1 yHaving a pet doesn't make you parent. I had a cat in my early 20s that I deeply loved but that wasn't my son it was my pet, my cat. Calling yourself a cat or a dog mom is silly.
00 Reply- 451 opinions shared on Family & Friends topic.
+1 yIt's a real thing but it's frowned upon. The problem is "owner" comes with legal responsibility for control but parent implies much less.
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIt is, but its not as common as it seems. Its still not the worst thing a person could do to a pet, no reason to hate on them.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yIt’s a cope thing. Pets don’t live as long as humans so when they pass it really just amplifies the existing trauma.

110 Reply- +1 y
Yeah! They are better than kids
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee You are kidding yourself.
- +1 y
Nope. Its my preference and my opinion. Animals are much cheaper, less time consuming, they don’t throw tantrums in public or constantly whine and cry and demand things. Animals don’t need to go to university like kids. Animals don’t wear diapers for 3-4 years of their life. I don’t need to wipe ass and change nasty diapers. Cats poop in a litterbox by 9 weeks of age and dogs by 8 months are potty trained and poop outside on walks. Babies don’t stop shitting in diapers until their about 3 or 4 years old. Pets, can be left alone. Kids cannot be left alone. Kids are very very expensive. Pets, will never cost as much as raising a child….
- +1 y
I also don’t want to be pregnant or give birth either….
- +1 y
A well trained, behaved dog, will listen better than a toddler or small child….. you have to repeatedly say no to a child. A dog that is BEHAVED AND TRAINED listens the first time… kids, don’t listen😂😂😂😂
- +1 y
Pets can be left at home while i go to work or run my errands or see my friends. Just keep them at home with the backyard door open for the dog to go in&out as they please lol. Kids can’t be left at the house alone by law until their 12 years old😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
- +1 y
I prefer my own company honestly. I don’t want someone glued at my side 24/7. Sounds miserable lol
- +1 y
I would just honestly hate being constrained to a child and having to answer to someone all the time. I like to be free! I don’t like kids anyway.
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee So don't. But don't pretend that animals equate to children.
- +1 y
Its my opinion that they are better than kids. I never said they are the same! They are not! Kids are hard work! They are very expensive and time consuming! Kids require sacrifice. Pets don’t!

People who are obsessed with their kids are weird. That is their entire personality. I don’t want to be obsessed with someone.
- +1 y
I also don’t want to be pregnant or let alone, give birth. Gross. I also just don’t care much about kids. I also don’t like babies and I don’t want to be stuck with a child 24/7. I can’t. I like my own company and being free and my privacy.
- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee wierdooooo
- +1 y
Im weird for not wanting crotch goblins?
- +1 y
Do you not understand the responsibility aspect of raising a child? Not everyone likes kids enough to literally sacrifice their entire life, plus, their own body for them. What the fuck. Its a choice not a requirement and people should ONLY have kids if they WANT and DESIRE them. It should come from the heart. I could care less honestly.
- +1 y
I don’t care for kids. I don’t desire or want them. I don’t even find babies appealing or cute. I find them a bit gross and toddlers are monsters… kids are so expensive and you never have privacy or freedom. I prefer my own company and being free in my life without the constraints of children and having to answer to someone 24/7 and be a servant. I don’t want that life for myself. It sounds so horrid and boring……

- +1 y
@Brittanyroseee having fun dying alone then, your dog will eat your corpse because no one else will be around to feed it.
- +1 y
Your funny! I will die in a retirement home surrounded by professional nurses and doctors and probably my partner if he didn’t pass on yet!

Kids don’t guarantee you not being alone in the future:) go visit the elderly in care homes… they all have kids….
- +1 y
I don’t like kids especially babies and toddlers and small children. I would not want to spend my life and my time taking care of them 24/7…. I cannot imagine being around a baby/child all the time. I just can’t. I don’t have the patience for kids…

I enjoy my freedom and privacy and peace and quiet. I prefer my own company and not having someone glued to me 24/7….
