Can you say vulgar things or do vulgar gesture things around your parents or would something like that offend them? Or could you smoke weed/drink with your parents?

I'm chill for the most part. It really depends. I can say vulgar things around my mom more than my dad. They know I drink and have smoked weed.

A part of me probably still feels like I'm going to get in trouble if I do certain things around them. 😂
But I think there are just things that I don't want them to see me doing or hear me saying because I don't want them to be disgusted with me. 😅

@Slim57 Another reason I envy my brothers. They could practically say/do anything in front of them and my parents won't bat an eye, but if I did the same thing, I still feel like they'd attack me for it. 😭

my mom gets mad everytime i curse or tells me to not talk like that to her because she's not my age. my dad used to scream at me for that too but now he can brush it off or get mad. my parents dont let me dress provocatively. my dad won't take me out anywhere if he thinks i'm showing to much. my mom used to be like that too but now she just frowns and comments about it until i change. my parents would never ever do drugs with me ever. if my parents caught me they would be so so mad, my dad could hit me. weed already would the end of the world, so for other stuff that's even worse. and they would never do drugs, they think that drugs are trashy and people who do them are lowlifes and losers unless they're teens to early 20s for me mom, my dad thinks any teen who does it is trash and will grow up to become one. my mom thinks i should never get drunk or play with alcohol and for her alcohol is in small doses for the taste. but it would be unthinkable to do that in front of with her. she would cry if i was drunk in front of her. for me i can only get drunk at a party with people my age that i know, and that's only as long as i'm like under 24. i can drink a bit of alcohol with my dad at appetizers or social events. but or else he only gives me baby portions. getting drunk with him or in front of him is unthinkable. depending on his mood he could attempt to confiscate it and tell me how much of a failure in life i am or scream at me. or else i can't joke around with my parents like that, my mom gets mad and tells me i should only act like that wiht people my age. my dad tells me that's not how i should act with parents. besides anyways i dont want to do those things with or in front of my parents. like it would deeply disturbing to see your parents drunk or high, or talk about stuff like sex with them. honestly i could never. also rather have my secret garden too. i'm not very close to them anyways

both... depends on the circumstances, of course...

however, my parents are not vulgar and neither am I...

if by vulgar you mean, swearing or cursing... well, that's also a no, my parents never curse or swear, lol... and I grew up to be just the same with them

neither of my parents smoke and I don't smoke either... my father drinks in occasion from his "selective" collection, lol or at special occasions, my mother does not, neither do I, not usually

fortunately... most of the time we're chill and joking around, till life happens again and we have to be more serious about it for that moment being

I'm usually casual when we are not arguing and situationally serious when we have a confrontation. My parents are constantly provoking me and picking fights with me cause they are angry and unhappy with their lives and they use me as their verbal punching bag but they never hit me physically.

But I don’t do “vulgar” things or gestures in general. I don’t smoke and will have 2 alcoholic drinks max a year, if any. I did have a daiquiri (?) in front of them once in a restaurant.

The only thing I don’t talk about is relationships. I don’t tell my family anything about my love life. Aside from that, we’re always laughing and joking about something. But I’m the favorite 🤷‍♀️
