Take a trip down memory lane with me? What was a good moment for you?

This year for me was far from the best. I've suffered the heartbreak of losing important people in my life.

But it's nice to look back and remember the good moments. My favorite cousin came to California to visit. We spent a week together watching movies, pretending to be kids again at Disneyland, and roasting marshmallows during a beach bonfire. We laughed and reminisced about our childhood and all the silly stuff we used do.

That was probably my favorite part of 2023. Whats something good (big or small) that happened in 2023 for you?

There were a couple of times I didn't die. I was appreciative of those, but honestly every moment with one of my rescue kittens is icing on the cake. Every day on this side of the grass is a good moment. After they changed my meds I haven't seen my BP drop down to the 60/40 range again. That was a troubling hour or so. I was granted another year of remote work. Huge plus. My rescue kittens and my mom's rescue dog are all in relatively good health and largely happy. My mom's the best carpenter I know and it's afforded me some wonderful bespoke furniture/built-ins and a fraction of the cost of flat pack crap. There were a number of races I wanted to do that it looked uncertain if I'd get those in before I died. I knocked out a bunch of them in 2023. I was able to pay some vet bills for some people with sick fur babies. That was rewarding. I've improved greatly my post-heart attack meal plans.

Winning a championship in hockey was a big one for me. That’s the high I chase in life, so catching said high for the first time in a decade was rejuvenating for my elderly ass, lmao

Also, this one pretty lady also started hiding out in my bushes, rummaging through my garbage cans, etc, so that’s for sure welcome😜

Sounds like ‘23 was a tough one for you, and I’m real sorry about that😢 But you seem really cool and seem like you have a very good soul from the few days we’ve interacted, so my hopes for you are high for 2024🙏 Hope you have a happy and safe NYE, and a great bounce-back year in ‘24!!!🥳🍾

Reuniting with a good friend I really hadn’t spoken to in two years. When she reached out to me on here, I realized how much I missed that period of time in my life and just how much of a beautiful young woman she’s turned into! She gives me a lot of grief on here but I am so thankful she is in my life again and I hope our friendship continues to grow.

My wife and kids surprised me with a puppy. Last year I lost my best friend, a black lab, after she’d been by my side for fourteen years, I said I would never get another dog but yes, they knew deep down I wanted one, so they surprised me on my birthday. It only took about thirty seconds for me to fall in love with her.

My niece who I have not seen 1n 14 years reached out to me and said that she wants to visit me and my kids. I had a big blowout with her mother and have not seen her or my brother in all that time.

She came a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving and she was all grown up. It actually was really nice to see her.
