I have a friend who's turning 20 soon. She lives with her dad as their parents have divorced recently recently and he started seeing a woman his daughter age who is 19 or 20. Her dad is 47 and she saw her at their house and told her dad off for having sex buddies her own age and yelled at them. Her dad kicked her out of the house and she lives with her mom now.
I personally think it's none of her business but I didn't tell her that.
As a man I suppose I'm a little biased here, but even so I try to base my opinions on reason, science, and logic.
Here is a simple, undeniable and unchangeable fact. Actually several facts.
1. Human beings are, at their core, monkeys
2. Evolution causes animals, like monkeys, to find mates that are the most likely to bare healthy children to be the most attractive
3. The younger a monkey is of child bearing age the more attractive that monkey is to male monkeys
4. Youth is more attractive because it inherently implies a greater ability to survive childbirth and thus be able to actually raise the baby monkeys Into adulthood so they can make... drum roll please... more monkeys.
5. Young girls do not stop being hot just because a man gets older. Young girls will ALWAYS be hot simply by virtue of the fact that they are young.
6. Expecting men to stop finding young girls hot is literally asking us to do the impossible. Which is have a desire that conflicts with our evolutionary imperatives. We are hard wired to find young girls hot and older women less so.
So when an older man is attracted to a young woman in her twenties, well, who the hell else is he supposed to be attracted to?
But, even ignoring ALL of that. The real question. The ONLY one that actually EVER matters is. Do they make each other happy? Are they getting their needs met and finding fulfillment by being with each other?
Because if the answer to that is yes. Then Who the fuck cares about anything else? Let people, especially grown ass adults over the age of consent, be happy and do the things that bring them joy. Like seriously, who the fuck do people think they are telling someone they aren't allowed to be attracted to certain groups of people?
If they made the same argument but swapped out the age they don't like with a race they don't like this question would not have even had to be asked.

The daughter also has a right to be disgusted at how shallow her father is to date someone her age. It’s one of those things that completely changes your view on someone to a very deep level (remember Legally Blonde? The girl with the perm that killed her dad in the hopes of killing his new lover who just happens to be the same age as her? Yeah, I don’t blame her, I’d want some sign of the good father I had before that too).
Their relationship as father and daughter likely had plenty of bumps before that happened, this was just the cherry on top of the “my dad is a piece of shit, no wonder my mom left him” cake.

They are both wrong, First your friend is wrong , because her Dad is allowed to date whoever he wants , and she should stay out of his business. She doesn’t have to like the girl he is dating, but she should respect his decision, and keep her negativity to herself. As for her Dad , he is wrong for the simple fact that he shouldn’t be introducing that girl to his daughter, until he knows for a fact , that girl is in it for the long haul and not the short haul. It’s not easy for kids to see their parents’ with someone new , especially right after a divorce , so her Dad sadly only cares about himself. When I separated from my wife , and I started dating again, I didn’t introduce my kids to any girl I was dating , I made it clear to the girl that she will not meet my kids ‘ until I feel she is in it for the long haul and not the short haul. It’s called respect.
100% agree with you. I've dated a 20 year old who had a child. However, I will say, she was perceived as my daughter often, we had little in common, and people her age would yell "she's too young for you" mostly from jealous guys.

The comparison was used as an extreme example to what isn't gross and what is gross if vice versa, if a 35yr old male with 14yr old girl. Society didn't look down on the older females, sides the courts. I agree with your other two statements.
