Am I wrong for hating my dad for dating a 19 year old?

Me (late teen), my father (37), and his current girlfriend (19) used to all work at the same place. My dad was the assistant manager and had gotten fired right after they started to date. Her and I both still work at that place. He’s here almost EVERY night.

I hated my dad for other reasons before but this situation made my hatred grow.

My dad will act really childish around her, it’s gross to me. I’ve heard stuff being said from them and seen their messages before. It makes me super uncomfortable and upset. My dad is aware I hate them together mainly for the fact that there’s a 18 year difference between them and he’s JUST barely a legal adult.

But seriously am I the asshole in this situation?

You hate him for other reasons. This is just the icing on top. I get that its super awkward too that you know the girl.

The age gap itself isn't the real issue and if the guy wasn't your dad you maybe would think it's nice he is feeling young and rejuvenated by his younger girlfriend.

But it would be easier/respectful if not around you.

Don't look for right and wrong in this situation. Your feelings are valid bit so is his choices in his life. There's no wrong here. Such is life.

Just try live yours. It's not like you are his dependent. Go be your own person.

Seeing that you claim to be 27 years of age... how about living your own life?

You're not wrong for hating him but this reason is less of a big deal as it's their lives they're spending with each other and it's no one elses business to interfere. BUT since you're intimately related to the situation it's a tough one to deal with that you could try to ignore or try to see it from either of their perspectives.
