Why do you think there are mothers out there who have jealousy/hatred over their daughters?

Narcissism driven by deep insecurity. My ex-wife was jealous of our daughter, who is far more intelligent than her mother. They have now reconciled and apparently have a good relationship. I don't ask.

She could be a narcissist. she's mad her daughter looks better, is doing netter than her etc.
