Why do some families get into a fight after a loved one dies?

After my mother passed away last year, my family and I had a fight. One of my aunts said, “Good! Now I don’t have to worry about that heifer anymore! She always gets the attention and always been the golden child! Now it’s my chance! And she walked off. We were all shocked. I was so angry at her for saying that. My grandpa told her off about her behavior.
My cousin said some harsh things to my face. She said too bad my mother is dead because I don’t know the first thing about being a woman. She probably died from being sick of me. I was so angry that I almost knocked her out! My brothers had to old me back because I charged at the bitch!
It’s like my mom is gone, nobody talks anymore. I only talk to my grandpa, dad, brothers, sister and two uncles. Our aunt we cut off contact from her.

My aunt didn’t attend her funeral. Not a lot of people attended my moms funeral, but when my uncle passed away, he had A LOT of people there including my aunt. Why didn’t my mom have a lot of people at her funeral?
