I've had a woman friend for the last 20 years or so. We met to form a punk band when we were in our late teens. Right from the start, there was no physical attraction between us and there never has been any move towards that direction. She dated my older brother for a while and we stayed good friends after their breakup. We're not each other's type at all and its something that we're both aware of and OK with. She's an only child, so it's kind of like we're in a "brothers and sisters" type of relationship.
It can happen, but there need to be a sincere friendly interest in each other and no attraction at all.
Sincerely, yes. But on the condition that neither of them feels attracted to the other. Even if attraction is only one-sided, it's gonna be hard to be 'just friends'.
I find it very difficult to have male friends. Might just be my age but eventually they want sex or a relationship even though I'm with someone, even older men. Also a few of these guys were quite manipulative, false and twisted in their pursuit of me. So I've learned to have no male friends other than my man.
Female friends can be just as bad. Acting out of jealousy or selfishness.
I've got a few good solid friends and I guess the rest are acquaintances or people I'm friendly with
I do know some women that keep guys as friends as back up relationship guys.
I have a male friend, he’s just a friend and neither of us have any intention to build a sexual or romantic relationship. Does that mean sex isn’t a factor? No, it’s how we met. Erotic roleplay websites where we clicked on kinks and found out we clicked on a bunch of other stuff but had no desire to pursue anything together.

For the one trillionth time on here, YES!
Anyone who says no is probably the type that has issues being friends with anyone.
no and yes. i'd say a sexual boundary manifests for a multitude of reasons because of a close-knit group environment.
I voted yes... but, and you and I are a good examples of why.
Yes, but best if neither is interested in the other sexually or romantically.
Some of my best friends are female.
