Getting in touch with your bio-family can be good if you don’t have a comprehensive medical history for yourself, and a lot of adoptions happen because for one reason or another the parent (usually the mother) can’t care for the child and gives them away if they weren’t forcibly taken away. And when you find out your family is not your bio one, there’s nothing wrong with just peeking to see what your origins might have been if things were different. I know a lot of foreign-adopted kids end up looking up their bio-family to get better acquainted with their family’s culture. Connecting with your family’s roots can be a unique and joyful experience.

None. A sealed birth is a sealed birth. Unless the parents chose to unlock it at a later date perhaps.
I do not agree with this. It is an incredibly shitty thing to do to someone. Own your mistakes or whatever you are holding onto to seal an adoption. You had sex. You created life.

Even if raped a child should have the option to meet their hopefully still sane parent.

I feel like it should be mandatory for the adoption agency or facility housing in the individual child, newborn, etc. to hold onto biological mother information to get in touch / research where they came from.

Pretty sure the rule is once 18 they can find you. Which I see no problem with and that's how it should stay.

if i had given a child up for adoption i wouldn't ever wanna see them, i gave it up for a reason. the only exception would be if they needed any medical history but im sure there's forms and shit for that

Maybe to find out about certain traits or diseases they might have genetically or need a donor for something only they could provide? Or not marry their brother or sister
